i just bought this system, and was a little dissatisfied with the unfinished look of the top edges of the box. so i tried again, this time i added another set of creases a quarter inch in from each edge of the square, sacrificing a quarter inch of the box height, but giving me a lip to fold over before i glue my box together.
this seems to have a two fold advantage. greater overall strength and a much cleaner finish. cant recommend it enough.
Fabulous boxes! Thanks for this great tutorial! I absolutely love my MS score board - it is my new favorite tool! i use it constantly. i love to make cards that are not your basic fold and this makes it easy. And I make envelopes to match my cards - easy peasy. I love the fact that this score board has score lines for every 1/8 inch. It is the only scoring tool I have ever used but I am not even interested in trying anything else :)
This is my one most favorite piece of craft equipment! It is amazing! I bought another one as a back up and put it in my craft room/office. I take one with me everywhere and the other one stays home. I'm always finding new ways to use it!! Love it! I used my 50% off coupons so I can say I got one free!
these little boxes are the best. l was going to bring my MS score board back to the store but l'm going to keep it now, thanks so much for showing how to make these. don't know how the hubbys gonna like it but l'm keeping it now lol. thanks again. new subber as well
@virtualassistant I'm with you on this one!!! Everything is more expensive here in Canada even the cricut carts at 120 bucks at Michaels!!! ridiculous isn't?
Great job on your video. I really love the idea of using punches on the borders - although I'd probably use the Cricut to cut them. I hate spending money on punches, but I do it in a pinch.
Thank you for this video. It was the deciding factor in my purchase of the score board. I really like not having to move the paper around in order to find the right measurements. This is a great product and I am so happy that I bought it. I am going to check out your others videos and hope you continue to make them.
Thank you so much for this video! This is an outstanding video with some great tips for using this score board. One of the main reasons I decided against the Scor Pal was something you mentioned about having to figure out where some of the score marks would be due to the odd way in which they put the measurements on the board. Goodness knows if I'm going to spend close to 40 bucks for a score board, it better figure those measurements out for me...lol And, the MS Board was a much better deal!
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I just purchased last week from Michael's with a 50% off coupon. Got it for $7.50 because on sale at the time.
I was reading the instructions and trying to figure out how to cut the envelopes. It didn't work because I was using the information under the compartment door. In viewing your vidoe, realized I was using the wrong measurements.
Are you using the same size paper to make the box and just score in different places?

I recieved the M.S. Score Board last year as a Christmas Present and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
Love the envelope maker and the little compartment to hold your Bone Folder.
Loved how you punched around the edge of the Boxes.
