I mention two solo runs. In Ed's case he was completely alone. Even the photo people are not around at peak flows. In Tim's case he lost his group at sunshine and didn't see them until the take-out. Nobody around with ropes, they would not help in very many spots.
If you are unfamiliar with the Gorge doing the run alone is difficult because of the shuttle. You need to hitchhike in front of a territorial prison. Lots of luck. Even prison guards don't get picked up.
Awesome video. Running Sledgehammer upside down and still making his roll was awesome. Very impressive.

Nice video. By solo run does this mean he kayaked alone or does it mean that there were no spotters with throw ropes on hand or what?

You spelled "Canon City" wrong. It's "Canon" not "Canyon".
