I must agree solar isnt developed enough to overtake coal yet, I have been to a solar farm in central Australia that doesn't generate enough power to justify the amount of water required to keep them clean enough to work in the middle of the desert. In saying that big $ is not being poured into the research yet either.
I love my mini maglites (8 inch-20$) which you can drop with no fear. But the lightbulbs have a fairly short life.
SUREFIRE flashlights are expensive (100$+) but US Army troops use those on their rifles - the kind of thing you need when your life depends on it -and those have LED bulbs.
Is that one of the Faraday flashlights, that you shake to charge? I got a generic China cheapy one (the missus bought us a couple on Amazon), and it works great! Nice and bright, and it really holds a charge for a LONG time, after a relatively few shakes. I've seen some that sucked, so be sure of what you're getting, but, yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by mine. =^[.]^=
great vid, you know I remember only a few years back when a solar powered flashlight was a joke, lol it went like this, polish inventions, like a screen door on a submarine or instant ice, just add water, and one of my old favorites a solra powered flashlight, lol...and now they sell them too funny!!!!
Nice review man, I did a rev on the single light package......they really do a good job IMO

HMMM...I don't really get the solar feature. If you need light to power it you really don't need a flashlight.
Unless the solar panel charges a rechargeable battery.
But then why would the first click be solar and second battery?
venturahwy76 2 years ago
You are right about the solar panel charging the battery. However the second battery is just a backup...
MadBadVoodo 2 years ago
That makes sense 2 different batteries.

"My friends of the interwebz" LOL.
That looks like a pretty handy little light I'm going to check it out. Costco has some good shit.
