you have like awesome sound quality and its like uberdiculously awesome, but you take breaths between notes when u dont need to and your notes squeak sometimes.
I am a simon and garfunkel fan from way back. Glad you like this! Don't worry about the flute just hang on to it and pull it out once in a while and before you know it you'll be making music! -Dennis
Very nice, Dennis! One of those things I like is that even if you have a misstep (I -think- there was one), you just one-take it anyway, which I think makes it more "real" in some ways, than say me who will re-take until I have it exactly how I want it. Anyway, never heard this on flute before, so it was definitely interesting and well done!
Yeah, What I do is all about the emotion of the moment, warts & all. I'm trying to convey my feelings not entertain an audience. Of course I like it when people enjoy the presentation and do rehearse the songs, but generally unless I just break down, once the camera is rolling that's it! Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoy these things. -Dennis
That's why even though I value production highly, my drum tracks aren't always as tight as I could get them. There's a limit, ya know? :) Honest question...for some reason when I listened, it sounded like it was played a bit flat. Is it technically possible to even get a flat note on a flute? Could just be my ears today...sinuses. Still loved it!
Oh yes, flat is my nemisis. If I'm not playing with someone to tune to I will probably be playing flat by as much as a quarter tone. No perfect pitch here sadly. In going for the full resonant tone I tend to roll the flute in towards my lips when you do that the pitch sags. -Dennis
Well, certainly not a criticism...more a ponderance if it was "just me" (so many things are "just me"!), or even possible. It still sounded great though! Sadly, I can do perfect pitch on instruments, but uhm...vocals not so much. I'm about to actually prove that rather embarrassingly in a video. But as you said, it's what's the emotion of the moment...if it moves you and it's still flat, so be it, man...it's what you feel that counts!
Greatwork, Dennis. If you know how, you may want to make it a video response to her latest or next video for her to see it. The mrs and I will help also.
Thanks so much. I just felt that she's in a place where she needs some friendly encouragement, and I hope that others who care for her will show support also. -Dennis
