Aww, I miss the old Days... like the '85-87 seasons. When they had Neil Curtis and his wife(Gloria Loring), Shane and Kimberly, Emma Donovan, Miss Peach, Theo Carver, Patch and Kayla, Kris Kosichek, Savannah Wilder, Roman Brady(Wayne Northrup), John Black(Drake), Marlena, and my fave bad guy, Alex Marshall. Now, Days SUCKS ass. They don't appreciate their veteran actors.
Anybody notice some recognizable names in the cast? Charles Shaughnessy was one, and Butch Hartman (yes, the same hack who later created The Fairly OddParents) is another.
It is Bill Wolfe "DaysAWFAN". Bill wasn't just exclusive to ANOTHER WORLD, he did other announce work for NBC, like the "WNBC 4 pre-sign off" here on youtube. It wouldn't make sense to use a Bill Wolfe sound-alike if you're going into ANOTHER WORLD. Even though Bill Wolfe was off AW at this point, my guess is that NBC kept him on staff as an NBC Daytime Announcer.
@LaurenLover81 That's exactly what CBS should've done for Dan Region either had him commentate for a different show or had him work for CBS all together., Instead they fired him.
@MrAaronLadner So do I but you can also get the german version on youtube as well., On the search bar type down Zeit der Sehnsucht you'll see why I like both versions.
@geemoli I miss the days when AW and SB were on and they would give you a preview at the end of Days for what was going on for the day! Thats the best part about this clip!
I'm sorry to hear about your mom The only time I heard it was when my mom didn't have cable but when she did I always watched something different but now I'm hooked on Days plus the ABC Soaps.
OMFG!! It's all coming back to me! I remember this, along with that goddamned Columbia Pictures Television ident!! The one thing that frightened me more than anything as a child!!
My Mom My Aunt My Grandmother My Great GrandMother And Me Would All Watch This This And AW Was My Nap time. The show Is really stuped Now But love the old school Story Line
I love the end credits. Especially this version with the piano and flute. Although, at this time, any real end credit would be good. Days was the last soap to go to squeeze credits in 2003.
This brings back memories of watching this with my mother and my sister when I was I kid. Everything back then just seemed so easy, nothing to worry about. This song is peaceful! Thanks for posting this!!!
"days." I wish they could bring back the magic of the writing staffs of the 1980s and early 90s before James E. Reilly went all wacko. But this theme is a great reminder: chamber orchestra, with a nice undercurrent of strings, classical guitar, piano, and lovely oboe and violin solos. The full closing theme is amazing to listen to.
i used to watch this with my mom when i was a kid, i remember the hourglass just sitting there while the sand poured down. brings back a lot of memories.
I use to complain about the voice-overs during the years we use to see end credits, but now I'll take the voice-overs anyday over than having no ending theme credits like they have them today
I love the mention of Another World & Santa Barbara.

I used to think the piano and vibraphone solo toward the end was so pleasant sounding, I would start my afternoon nap as a little kid to it

That's the wonderful Bill Wolff doing the voice on this video. AW was not the same without him.

Don't you ever say that Bill Wolff ruins anything! :) Most network-run closing credit sequences have voiceovers anyway, what can anyone do?
