@msjumpingqueenful no they dont? yeah they flip in high level stuff but its nothing serious and they dont struggle ... its more like the riders struggle to hold em back

@BEUnderTheInfluence No, I didnt see any legs with bones sticking out. But, that doesnt matter if the breakage didnt puncture the skin. So I dont know about you but I'm still questioning how many broken legs resulted from jumping something so high? How about you?

@BEUnderTheInfluence Really, whats the point in jumping a truck? 2:57 same obstacle with both horses falling the same way, nice flip at 3:12 , tons of horse face plants that cant be good for their neck, 4:16 nice landing with the second horse, 4:30 another lovely face plant, oh my more face plants! 4:305:235:46, 6:45, 7:00 ,so after rewatching this I suppose broken legs are not the common eventing injury.

@MagicDust112 It was the CN International, the rider was Casey Harrison and Kurr, if you look closley you can see the horses left front she come off right before they take off, and she is ok and so was the horse, the shoe falling of caused loss of traction and therfore he couldn't get his feet up, hope that that helps

An accident can be dramatic and must be taken seriously. The horse comes first no matter what . 20 yrs of competition.
Jumping that high is the most sick and creul way to abuse the poor horses! Making them jump higher than they are, Stupid prissy english riders. Go to hell if you want to treat you horse like shit, like those bitches are.
@Haileyandbuddy whats wrong with english riding? and what would you know about riding when you can barely trot in your videos? and 10 year olds shouldnt be cussing :D
@sassymypony Umm you really need to f off got it? Because if you actually watch the videos then you would read, that is call about half a year ago, my first time ever trotting, and maybe you should learn how to read before you comment? Okay mrs. first-grader? Peace.
@Haileyandbuddy i really didnt mean to sound so rude.. i only took a quick look at your videos, th part about 10 year olds shouldn't be cussing was sooo un needed. i didnt look at the dates the comments were made so i apoligize and im 15 almost 16 so im not mrs.first-grader :/
Please just shut up no horses were hurt and this could happen to anyone! this isnt why the sport was made! i mean these are highly ranked equestrian facilities and the staff has to know what they are doing! even if this did happen what control do we have over it? besides you can clearly see no animals were hurt so you can spend all this time complaining or you could do something productive.
@meaghanrocks1 these riders care more about their horses more then 98% of horse riders out there probably... sometimes a horse needs momentum to get through a trip or stumble, and spurring them gives them that. I've done it myself. Also, if your horse is going down sometimes you just forget about 'riding' and switch to 'surviving' and you can forget yourself... plus, just because he spurred the horse doesn't mean its insides ripped out and it will die. good lord people.
He was using a crop - trying to encourage the horse to keep going. If he didn't give him a little pop, the horse probably would have stopped, gotten stuck, and most likely lost his confidence;. As you can see, the horse was hesitating coming in and trying to go off to the side, so that little slap really saved both horse and rider from a nasty situation. :)
Yea they count it like a fall and the new regulation states that you are eliminated after you or your horse falls where as you used to be able to fall off and get back on and keep going with an acquirement of penalty points.
@equistera When these clips were created, no - you just get 80 penalty points, so you're out of the running placings-wise - which is why I love how that rider put his horse first. Now, though, you do get eliminated (it's officially falling) and you wouldn't be allowed to finish the course.
May I use this a couple of these video clip for a movie I am making? I promise to give you credit in the credits at the end. I am making a horse falls video.
wtf natija you are really rude because i guess you dont ride b cause you dont know anything about horses and maybe you should think before you right cuz that just makes you seem mean. i meant every word!! and i own a horse and i fall but really u need to trust ur horse! which i do! WTF!
natija08, you have obviously never been around horses. it is NOT cruel to ride them. some riders are cruel, but most look at their horse as a partner, not just a "tool". Riders take impeccable care of their horses, and would never put those horses in danger. There is a risk, but there is a risk with any sport. The amount of time, money, and effort that riders put into taking care of their horses and keeping them in top shape is incredible. I love the horses I ride, and I'd do anything for them.
Manche scenen zeigen das die reiter viel zu viel an den Pferden rummachen obwohl die auch sehr gut ihren absprung alleine finden können. wofür hatten sie denn das ganze training?
you think that those are selfish riders? they DO care about thier horses! and if you are talking about the showjumpers, I love show jumping and i care about the horses I ride!!!!!!
I hate to say it but I think that these courses that were shown on here are far to demanding on the horses, and also that alot of the falls are actually human error affecting the horses jumping ability....especially at the start with the eventing.
okay first off i would like to just tell everyone who is bein mean in here to chill out... i have ridden for many years now and my horse loves to jump. i don't compete but that doesn't mean that he couldn't. Most of those horses probably love to jump and its just in thier blood. If they didn't want to do it trust me they wont! Besides the rider can get injured just as easily as the horse so both are takin a risk. Secondly to the owner/creator of this video... AMAZING WORK!!!!
You see its half you riders fault it the horse falls, First of all the horse could just misstep at the jump, but i see some riders and when a horse bunny hops over a jump they have their rein really long and put back on them when the horse is trying to jump and making the horse unbalnaced so it like 50% the horse and 51% rider
and people say that football and baseball acidents are bad they got nothin on these, i hope all those horses and riders are ok. some looked like they broke there legs! :( :(
I meant 7:17... Absolutely breathtaking!

sassymypony 1 year ago
@sassymypony Umm you really need to f off got it? Because if you actually watch the videos then you would read, that is call about half a year ago, my first time ever trotting, and maybe you should learn how to read before you comment? Okay mrs. first-grader? Peace.
Haileyandbuddy 1 year ago
@Haileyandbuddy i really didnt mean to sound so rude.. i only took a quick look at your videos, th part about 10 year olds shouldn't be cussing was sooo un needed. i didnt look at the dates the comments were made so i apoligize and im 15 almost 16 so im not mrs.first-grader :/
sassymypony 1 year ago
Please just shut up no horses were hurt and this could happen to anyone! this isnt why the sport was made! i mean these are highly ranked equestrian facilities and the staff has to know what they are doing! even if this did happen what control do we have over it? besides you can clearly see no animals were hurt so you can spend all this time complaining or you could do something productive.

BabyJaneLuver123 1 year ago
These riders don't care about their horses. In one clip, the rider nearly had a spill and he spured the horse again and THEN they had a spill!
meaghanrocks1 1 year ago 7
I don't think that all the people didn;'t care about their, but some might not have cared.
EasyRider6036 1 year ago
@meaghanrocks1 don't assume that from just one riders actions. Many riders care very very much for their horses. But I agree that EVERY rider should.
xxhorsecrazedxx 1 year ago
@meaghanrocks1 these riders care more about their horses more then 98% of horse riders out there probably... sometimes a horse needs momentum to get through a trip or stumble, and spurring them gives them that. I've done it myself. Also, if your horse is going down sometimes you just forget about 'riding' and switch to 'surviving' and you can forget yourself... plus, just because he spurred the horse doesn't mean its insides ripped out and it will die. good lord people.

Omg! Did you see that man hit his horse on 5:25?
Pupdog911 2 years ago
He was using a crop - trying to encourage the horse to keep going. If he didn't give him a little pop, the horse probably would have stopped, gotten stuck, and most likely lost his confidence;. As you can see, the horse was hesitating coming in and trying to go off to the side, so that little slap really saved both horse and rider from a nasty situation. :)

in Cross Country...are you eliminated if you get off your horse? Like at 2:07?
equistera 2 years ago
Yea they count it like a fall and the new regulation states that you are eliminated after you or your horse falls where as you used to be able to fall off and get back on and keep going with an acquirement of penalty points.
unbridged77 2 years ago
@equistera When these clips were created, no - you just get 80 penalty points, so you're out of the running placings-wise - which is why I love how that rider put his horse first. Now, though, you do get eliminated (it's officially falling) and you wouldn't be allowed to finish the course.
eventandagilityadyct 2 years ago
Glad he did get off o.O I was worried the horse's leg would be broken, but he seemed okay

wtf natija you are really rude because i guess you dont ride b cause you dont know anything about horses and maybe you should think before you right cuz that just makes you seem mean. i meant every word!! and i own a horse and i fall but really u need to trust ur horse! which i do! WTF!
robertpattisonluvsme 2 years ago
WTF i ride 24/7 if your were taught properly you would kow that this i perfektly allowed & it ist cruel v what ridig is all ab out havig a good tie
shagadelicthing 2 years ago 2
natija08, you have obviously never been around horses. it is NOT cruel to ride them. some riders are cruel, but most look at their horse as a partner, not just a "tool". Riders take impeccable care of their horses, and would never put those horses in danger. There is a risk, but there is a risk with any sport. The amount of time, money, and effort that riders put into taking care of their horses and keeping them in top shape is incredible. I love the horses I ride, and I'd do anything for them.
loveriding815 2 years ago
the rider at 2:06 is what you call a true rider :)
he doesnt just put his mind to the prize, but he cares bout his horse!!
i love that rider :) he should have been given a prize for doing that :D

The only reason some of the horses didnt jump the jumps or tripped or fell was because their riders didnt set them up right!!

good comment!!...and they say they love horses!!! its all for their own selfish pleasures as far as i can see!

XIrishHorseRiderX 2 years ago
I hate to say it but I think that these courses that were shown on here are far to demanding on the horses, and also that alot of the falls are actually human error affecting the horses jumping ability....especially at the start with the eventing.
OPIAT777 2 years ago 2
okay first off i would like to just tell everyone who is bein mean in here to chill out... i have ridden for many years now and my horse loves to jump. i don't compete but that doesn't mean that he couldn't. Most of those horses probably love to jump and its just in thier blood. If they didn't want to do it trust me they wont! Besides the rider can get injured just as easily as the horse so both are takin a risk. Secondly to the owner/creator of this video... AMAZING WORK!!!!

1:48 was really Horrible did you see they he Flapped the reins about kicking him like mad?
BreyerBreyer 2 years ago
You see its half you riders fault it the horse falls, First of all the horse could just misstep at the jump, but i see some riders and when a horse bunny hops over a jump they have their rein really long and put back on them when the horse is trying to jump and making the horse unbalnaced so it like 50% the horse and 51% rider
BreyerBreyer 2 years ago
and people say that football and baseball acidents are bad they got nothin on these, i hope all those horses and riders are ok. some looked like they broke there legs! :( :(
