  • Is the second song a Venetian Snare song? It kind of sounds like it. Don't take my word for it, but it kind of sounds like one.

  • @MsPrince4life It is. The song's called Szamár Madár, it originally has a fairly lengthy intro, though.

  • @Methistet

Thanks! I thought that it would be. They have such a distinct tune that can easily be discerned. Also, thanks for letting me know the name of the song : )

  • @MsPrince4life No problem :) it's only 4 months late, but you know xP

  • @Methistet

    yup lol;P

  • asharah I am just in love with this performance. it is so moving.... watch it over and over. was lovely running into you at the hafla the other week. we miss you here!!!

    <3 ronnie

  • BORINNNNNNNNG!!!!

  • Dang... loved the music!

  • This freaks me out a little... Her face in full tribal make up looks so much like mine... But when she dances it's like she's what I hope to become one day, after practicing my behind off. Very awesome, what a dancer!

  • @angelusmagnificus

you shouldnt hope to become like a dancer you admire. you should dance the way you want to and add more variety to the belly dance world! wanting to become just like someone you admire is setting yourself up for failure... trust me i've been there. im sure the way you dance now is beautiful! maybe one day i can see some of your videos up here :] all the best!

  • Freaking awesome!!! I never get tired of watching this, sooooooo......................... rightly expressed

  • amazing...........!

  • Muy bonita!!! ;)

  • your dancing is so beautiful! I love your stage presence, very demanding!

  • sensationell!

  • Seriously lady, you are amazing!!! I hope anyone who has the chance to study with you takes it.

  • Oh my god, you're awesome! I love this video.

And good quality too. I wonder what camera was used to record this.

  • i love the way she locks in the change of beat. awesome :)

  • The song is a remix of a classical song moonlight sonata by beethoven! i love that song.

  • I want this song.

  • Breathtaking. Very Carolena Nerriccio-like hands :-)

  • Amaris, did you ever stop to think that maybe she hasn't moved more than a few feet because there is no more than a few feet to move? Also check out some of her other vids. She's an excellent belly dancer. This one just happens to involve a bit more drama, which calls for a lot of slow dramatic posing.

  • haha. constrictive criticism indeed. Asharah is the best instructor and dancer I've found in the tribal fusion sector and she's kept herself from becoming a corporate whore like some other artists out there. Keep it real!

  • corporate whores? that's not very nice.

  • I was angry that day, and not refering to anyone in particular. I just love it when people do their own thing.

  • @tinashriller AMEN!

  • This is merely constrictive criticism, and not a slight against Asharah, but her routines seem to have more posing and less bellydancing. Posture and poise is important in bellydancing, of course, but that can't be your whole style, because you get to a point where it's not bellydancing anymore, just slow-positional posing. Yes she moves her hips and shuffles her feet, but I don't think she moved more than a few feet away from her original starting position. Not a slam, just an observation.

  • I will say, though, that her preference for more classically inspired music and routines is a refreshing change of pace as far as tribal/gothic fusion is concerned.

  • You don't always have to move all around a stage for a piece to be entertaining and beautiful.

  • Tribal fusion you don't move around a lot, compared to Egyptian style. It's all about ticks, pops and locks in fluid motion.

  • Wow, she's mesmerising. I am taking a workshop with her at the end of this month. Woot!

  • All right for some!

  • hey guys!!! Where can I download for free the 1st song??? Exillion - Moonlight Sinatra???

    I need it

    thanks

  • Amazing

  • that would be moonlight sonata

  • yeah, it's a remix of moonlight sonata, but the song is actually called moonlight sinatra.

  • The first song is Exillon - The Keening Dithers - Moonlight Sinatra

  • Thank you very much!

  • Wow! I think my favorite part (if the arm has to be twisted to pick just one) was how even during the very down-tempo portions, you brought such Power to it all! I think that is a sign of a great performer! To command such a presence!!!

  • Breathtaking performance!

The songs sounds a bit like Beethoven's moonlight sonata remixed. Very nice.

  • the song is by Venetian Snares,

    the "Szamár Madár"

it has a coool video, check it!

(btw it's in my language:) "szamár" means

'donkey',but as in englsih also 'stupid'.

    Madár= 'bird'.

    Asharah also like this song:

    Li²CO³

  • Asharah is my hero! (and my ssseeeeeesssttteeerrr!!!!)

  • Wow. Just WOW.

  • I am speechless! so full of depth and emotion, beautiful

  • What is the name of the second song?

  • Does anyone know who does the remix of moonlight sonata? And where to find it?

  • yeeeah wanna find it

  • oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

    so beautiful.

  • WOW! My jaw dropped wide open all the way through the dance. Breathtaking.

  • Awesome dancer ANd a RUSH fan!!!! don't get any better than that!!!

  • w00t! Thanks! Neil Peart is my hero.

  • No kidding, I went to my first RUSH concert last year in Clark county.....I had to go back to the S&A tour again this year they gave an awesome show at the Gorge...ohhhhhhh good times!!!! I have clips in my channel if you'd like to check them out ;)

    RUSH ROCKS!!!!

  • @kiaroskuro Muy bonita!!! ;)

  • Gotta agree, this one was one of the best! Does anyone know what remix this is of the Moonlight Sonata? It's awesome! Let me know if you know!!!

  • Beautiful!!

  • The place was way too small for you and the things you had to express.

I think you are better when you have more space around you.

    But great anyway, obviously... ^^

Awesome remix of "Moonlight Sonata", I love the musics that you use.

Anyway I can't believe I have actually found the courage to comment on one of your vids, I always feel like anything I might say would be so derisory !!! lol...

Carry on being so great and inspiring us all.

And sorry for my awkward English...

  • I "agree to disagree" on the part where you said she's better when she has more space.. I think she's even more awesome for doing this great thing on a small space, that is harder than having all the space you need..

  • Yes, of course, I was trying to not make it sound as a critic, I admire Asharah's work way to much to be saying anything too bad anyway, it was just something that well, actually I felt pretty much throughout the whole thing.

But I think it's a good thing, in the TF8 performance for example, the stage was considerably bigger, but she still easily could've filled up a lot more space with those emotions, energy and dramatic presence of hers.

It's a good thing to have as much of that as she has.

  • I hope I didn't come accross as someone rude and overcritical or anything, it just felt to me like a big beautiful wild bird in a very small cage, something like, maybe I'm just "tripping" lol, I sometimes read comments I wrote and think "whaaat the hell was I thinking" lol, but well that was my feeling, if I had thought it as a purely negative thing though I'd've kept it for myself.

Anyway NO DOUBT Asharah is one of the VERY best dancers out there.

    And nice dancing yourself :)

    ^_^

  • No you didn-t sound overcritical or rude at all.. these comments are personal opinions (including my own) so you can feel and think whatever the heck ya want, and yeah she's a great artist! you are so right about the beautiful wild bird in a cage in this small stage..

  • OK :)

  • Gosh golly gee... I miss you dude. Lots and lots.

  • I've watched this 5 times in a row. I thought that her tribefest "Goth" performance was the best by far. I am so taking it back after seeing this.

  • Please adopt me

  • Asharah, you're truly amazing and there is so much feeling involved! Keep on creating beautiful dance art!

And by the way; I looove the music :)

  • Asharah you're a great artist!!! Congratulations on this wonderful performance! by the time it was done my mouth was open without I noticed haha, truly inspiring!!

  • Ashara-ism.

    *Heart*

  • Asharah RUUUUUULES. So beautiful.

  • Why am I crying? This is beautiful! Powerful!
