I am married to a non-custodial dad, so i am sympathetic to NC dads. HOWEVER, for goodness sakes, these children are with their mothers, who love them. I don't feel sympathy for parents who are part of a custodial battle

Our thoughts and prayers go out to both fathers and your three boys. My son was also abducted by my ex-wife and her bi-polar boyfriend, Stage Hypnotist Simone aka David Patrick Simone.

He kidnapped my child and hid my child from January 29, 2009 until May 25, 2009, when he took my son out of Porltand, Oregon and is hiding him in Henderson, Nevada. He even threatened to not only have me arrested, but threatened my life if I tried to come to Las Vegas to find my son.

I want justice done!

Their needs to be a document system for all minors to show proof of them being in legal care of anyone coming & going from anywhere through border checks in any form of any nature whatsoever.

All world governments need to put this in place as soon as possible.A petition for legislation should be started in every country.Fast.

My partners two children were abducted 11 years ago now. Sadly they have been conditioned by their mother to believe he is a monster who poses a threat to them. They live in fear of their father who loves them immensely. Please do all you can to stop this crime it IS abuse and it has to stop. Children have rights too.

Hi Sally, parental abduction and alienation is considered by many experts as child abuse. Does your partner now know where the children are?

There is some interesting research on the effects of the children of parental abduction, not much on recovery though, sadly.

The system doesn't work. It is suppose to be there to protect the vulnerable....the children. More and more I am seeing that it doesn't. I am so sorry about your stepdaughter. Although the damage was already done I pray that she is no longer subjected to that horrible life. Bless you for loving and caring for her so much. I pray everyday that these boys are found and removed from the abusive situation they are in now. No child should live a life being subjected to any form of abuse.

Thanks for the comment Coldclues, you make some valid points. However, this isn't about trying to use guilt you tactics, it's us deperately trying to get a message out about missing children who are really endangered.

We used YouTube as the platform because we have an establish channel here. MySpace video's doesn't seem to be as intuitive and easy to use if you're not a MySpace user.

yes but you do use guilt i.e. "with 3000 viewings here there only 56 comments". & it doesn't matter if Myspace video's is "intuitive" or not if you have a missing kid you get his video up there. Frankly I didn't even know Myspace had their own video or I just dismissed that using this & photobucket, but thanks for telling me because I'll make sure to have my video up there. I'm more than happy to put out messages of missing children & do so *all the time* I'm trying to be helpful nt hurtful.

Ok I understand the frustrations behind trying to get the word out, but I think you all need to re-evaluate your approaches. Using guilt & making people feel bad they're not paying enough attention IMO is counter productive.

I am thankful that the Balloon Boy was a hoax. This is not about guilt. Abduction whether it is parental or not is happening everyday. Media would rather cover the latest celebrity gossip than deal with real people that need help. It is about the impact my space can have. If one child is found through my space sharing the message then it is worth it. Missing children deserve to be found and brought home. Wouldn't you pass the message along if you thought you could bring a child home safe?

My grand daughter has been missing for 14 months. One local station ran a very brief story and the weekly here did a short piece. The other two local stations and the daily paper refuse to help! No doubt they carried the balloon story, though.

I almost lost my oldest to her father at one time and there have been times when for a split second we think our child is missing. our heart sinks as a a sense of terror comes over us till we see them. In 2007, my baby granddaughter was abducted by her non-custodial mother who was attempting to take her to Cuba. Thankfully, she was found after 10 weeks and now lives happily with my son & his wife.
