Dude Love what you have done. I remember the feer i had when i came out, i wished i would of known you 12 years ago when i came out to my Mormon family. Its straight people like you who give us the strength to come out and live our lives. THANK YOU!!!!
I am a cardmaker/scrapbooker and I think this is so cute! I might make some cards like this.... good idea! You can take a look at my cards on here, if you would like:) I will try to post a video response when I am finished! I might sell them at the church craft sale, HaHa!
David, I love your ideas. I also have been writing LGBT cards for years now. Finally, I will be launching them on a new site in August 2010. I have cards to a lesbian mom, from a mom to lesbain daughter/gay son, your gay brother serving our country and so many more...hundreds will launch and I would love to hear what you think of them. Gypsy
Well done David, my coworker and friend Dani (you know which Dani, our mutual friend) referred me to your videos, this is the most heartwarming video I have watched on youtube in the last spate of 20,000. I'm serious about that. Well done.
I've always thought that straight people have their own "coming out" when they admit to themselves and to others that they're ok with people being gay. Thanks to you for your coming out.
Just subscribed today after 'happening' on to your holiday atheist coming out card segment. This video touched me (and I am straight BTW). Love your approach to this Vlog!
Greeting Card Universe has many coming out cards as well as 100s for G/L community (Birthday, civil union, other). Go to collections, G/L category. Enjoy!
Your video made me want to cry...The fact that you got emotional over people like us, who many taunt, and ridicule and hate. It made me have hope for the future...Keep making the cards man, they were all wonderful...although it might be safer to use perez hilton, he's hated by everyone(because that's how he started his career), so it might not matter if you use his image on a card.
Bravo! Alleluia! Amen! Your witness is a powerful celebration of the love that Christianity is supposed to be about and and indictment of it has in too many places become!
Wow. Well done Dave. And I get it. The homophobic moments of youth are not uncommon and hopefully a person gets by them, all the more difficult with religious underpinnings.
Oh Dave Dickerson, you are the most spirit-filled atheist I've ever had the privilege to know. Thank you for being the inspiration that you are! Your witness is making me a better Christian.

Trying to remember when I decided to be straight. A much-discussed rite of passage, but going through it, it I didn't know where to turn.
Perhaps your next exercise should be creating a greeting card congratulating a young strapper on making that decision. You know, 11 or 14, the hormones kicked in, and I had to make that decision. "crap, do I like girls or boys?".
It was a difficult and intellectually demanding decision, like a bar mitzvah, but I decided to go with not being a pariah.

Incredibly moving! Thanks you so much! But really, any gay guy will tell you Ted Haggard is not seemingly straight. ;-)

And where can I get one of those ceramic bowl hats?

I loved all the cards but I wasn't expecting to be so mived by the explanation of that last one. You're awesome, Dave.
Also, I like the end shot that makes it look like you're wearing a bowl on your head: very Carmen Miranda.
