In my own travel there I noticed that people are to "polite" to speak up often even makes close friends of mine and in laws annoyed if I mention it. I have been with out work and never took unemployment never applied for it. I never had free medical care had to pay out of my pocket never had food assistance cause I don't ask for help. Why is the world so unequally divided? If i see this kind of things i always feel kind of guilty and ashamed.... I know we can not change the world but seeing the problems we deal with in the west (in general) and what these kids have to deal with at such a young age....... We (ancestors & ourselves) worked long and hard to construct this great society (farming fields, creating communities with schools and laws, building and working factories, etc), for ourselves and our children in the future. Perhaps I just don't understand your "unequally divided" concept. The world is certainly not the same (even within the USA), but I'm not aware of any entity or mechanism dividing things up. The opportunity was and is there for nearly everyone around the world. We (ancestors & ourselves) capitalized (through hard work, ingenuity, sacrifice, etc) on that opportunity, with success in many areas. As I said in the previous comment, I simply cannot feel guilt or shame for that.

Isnt like that everywhere in philippines. Sad though. In my own travel there I noticed that people are to "polite" to speak up often even makes close friends of mine and in laws annoyed if I mention it. Usually told that I don't understand and americans are rich. I went hungry and feared not having a home too. Biggest problem in my opinion of course and not a "fact" that people are overwhelmed. But even 1 small thing done by as many people as can be convinced will make a huge difference. 1.
