They do sing in real operas, they're actually both professors at my school. The person singing all of the male voices is the choir director and teaches choral conducting and Opera Workshop. He just got back from sabbatical doing an opera overseas. The person singing the female parts is actually my voice teacher, and she's awesome! :)
