Are you playing alongside the song with a violin in it? It sounds very . . .I think the word is reverb? Or are you playing along the main melody of the words sung?

And do you bow holding the edge of teh bow string to the strings? Or just the broadside of teh bow? I'm guessing it's more of precision purpose or lowering the volume (or something)

To answer a few of your questions: For this video, I didn't use an amp and instead edited the sound with reverb.

I hold my bow a little differently because I'm self taught - I don't use any video lessons or anything either.
