there is this blog that was looking for this stitch. they decorated it like an apple...I thought...this looks like a pineapple stitch and searched everywhere for the free pattern ...then I thought...I bet Teresa knows how to do it...and there you were....I made 5 potholder's, decorated like apples, for my daughter-in-laws mother....
there are 2 stitches I would like to see you do. 1) is a stitch called the (5 WAFFLE CABLE STITCH) and the (DIAMOND BUMP CROCHET STITCH) as I feel you could do a better job explaining how these stitches are made, I have seen these stitches done by >mikeyssmail< on youtube but I think you could do a better job and more people see you crochet then they see mikeyssmail doing his crochet stitches on this site. as I can not find written instructions for both of these stitches thanks.
Using just your videos and a 5 minute crash course from a friend, I was able to make a present for everyone in my family this christmas. I just started learning in November, but i love it so much!
You are just the best!!! i've just started crochet 2 week's ago,and watching your tutorials have made me learn so much!!!! 4 week's later and im on my 3r'd hat now!!!! u should be on t.v showing your talent!!! So clear and to deatail.I'm loving it!!! Thank's again tjw1963 ;)
Thanks, TWJ. It's really helpful. The only thing I'm not sure about is how you would do this in the round, like if I were making a doily or something.
Thanks for your great videos, they have really helped me. Can you please show how to join rows of pineapples - perhaps with open mesh stitches or similar. You're the Best,
I have been utterly baffled and puzzled for YEARS and reading the design instructions for pineapple crochet patterns was gobbledegook. Your videos have done more to teach me in the past twenty minutes than I figured out in the past twenty years. FAB-U-LOUS!!!
You have a wonerful way of doing your videos. I learnt crochet absolutely on my own therefore when I made a poncho with shells it was amazing and now I am famous at home..thankz to you. Would you want to look at the final finished version?
I also find myself referring people to your videos to learn to crochet. Thank you for your videos and you are doing a great service to those on the "net" that want to learn our wonderful art / craft / hobby of crocheting. People who don't have somebody to teach them have you. Keep up the fantastic job!
Thank for watching and taking time to comment. I did a pineapple afgan several years ago and I still have it. Post a video or video picture once you get it made. I would love to see it.
I find myself doing the same thing, sharing it with people who are looking to learn to crochet. You sure have helped me lots in the last two weeks that I have now been crocheting. I never expected to already have a finished hat. ;) Thanks so much.
You are welcome. I didn't realize that the resources, such as crochet magazines had become so scarce until recently. I loved Magic Crochet and Decorative Crochet. I would look every so often to see if the new edition was something I wanted. I have just realized that they are not on the shelf any longer.
Thank you for your demo. I have always avoided pineapple designs but you have taken the mystery out of them for me now. Now they look easy and I'll try one of my pineapple design afghans I have.
I enjoyed your video. I am making lace using the pineapple stitch. I have a question for you. What does this mean? (ch 3, skip next ch sp, shell in next shell) 3 times. Does this mean to shell in the next shell 3 times after chaining 3 and skipping the next ch space?
I think that it would be helpful, at least to me, if we know what type of yarn that you are using for each project. I know that you use scrap yarn for some of the demos, but the information would be helpful.
I updated the details along next to the video. I will try to remember to put the information in the details. If I forget, feel free to remind me. I will update the other demo's as time permits.

are you using red heart yarn?
majaglitter 2 years ago
Probably. A lot of the yarn I had been using when I first started doing tutorials was scrap yarn with no label.
