Apparently most folks aren't familiar with driving a tour bus. It's pretty much like driving a big car with power steering, automatic transmission, etc. Couple that with a professionally licensed driver that often has has many years of experience with driving commercially and more miles under there belt in one year then most passenger car driver get in several years it's not so astonishing to see someone occasionally use one hand.

The point is that when you talk on the phone, you can't concentrate and in some cases, the contration level, is so low that is like drive while drank. he could use the handsfree, do it always myself, but one hand give better feeling on the vehicle on the road. except on a racetrack then. if he had 2 hands and the bus start skiding he will hang after, better with one hand and use 2 if its needed, simple as that. for sure, one hand is never something to complain and waste time to care for.

shuttttup, everyone and their mom uses their phone on the road and drives with 1 hand, not to mention your picking on someone who drives for their profession.. he likely has the training to handle the bus, and a bus isnt like a car. you dont really need 2 hands (you should) but even if the wheel can slip 2-3 inches before you can catch it, for a bus this translates to only a few centimeters off course, whereas a car may be feet off track.

i dont see another problem then he dont use handsfree. from inside these big vehicles it seems like its over the lanes, cause the hight over the ground, these big vehicles have that problem that they take the space over the lanes in sharp turns. and no problem with 1 hand. when i took license for these big i was told to use 1 hand until i managed use 2. easier with one and more comfort.
