By being a disciple of a pure devotee of Srila Prabhupada, one gets into direct connection with Srila Prabhupada. He was so great master that he was able to 'grow' many pure disciples, who in turn spead the message of Lord Krishna. Lord's message should be spread without limists to all living and nonliving beings. Being a servant of the servant of the servant pleases Lord most. This is parampara all about. Message is always pure, so the persons who transfer that message purely, are also pure.
Namaste, i have a question: should everyone in the world recieve the messages of bhakti-yoga or are some just incapable of grasping it so better leave them alone? for example a person who is very attached to religion should this message not reach him, also because religion may help him to come to the platform of yoga in a later stage, even though religions today are full with lower modes and hence propegate false knowledge?
Namaste, Everybody has the capasity to love God. And everybody has also a capasity to understand this. If one understands this, one will become peaceful and happy servant. That is why everybody should receive the message of loving service. Otherwise we are miserable. It is not good to be attached to religion, but for God, who is One. True religion can help one to connect with God in loving service. That is the meaning of religion, reconnect with God.
Dear vipassov, i am kind of confused right now, i do not think that everyone in the world are able to connect to God through yoga some just need to learn material values and gradually come to yoga, religion means to help man not to fall into lower modes of nature, and yoga means to connect with God, if someone is averse to yoga i do not think nor feel it is a good idea to preach to him, i can see for example in my country israel there is a movement called kabalah, is this bhakti yoga too?
Dear Indupati, I understand You. It is not a question of any physical yoga or some mystical rituals, but about the heart. One can learn to serve God in any situations in life - whether one is householder, worker, monk, prime minester etc. In bhakti yoga it is a question of devotional service. The main thing to understand is that we are little servants, parts and parcels, of God. With this basic understanding we become humble, and learn to remember/be connected God in every situations of life.
well as far as i recal, we shouldnt reccomend the srimad bhagavatam to people that we dont think are ready, because it will be too much and it will simply pull them farther away from gode then they were beofre, everyone is at their pace and they are where they need to be, if they are ready to find krssna the paramatma will guide them to devotees and guru
In order to be a bona fide spiritual master in the Brahma/Madhva Sampradaya, a disciple has to be personally ordered to accept disciples by his spiritual master. The qualified disciple always feels unqualified, so will only accept this position if he is personally ordered to do so. Anyone who thinks Srila Prabhupada is dead and gone and incapable of giving such an order is in illusion. Similarly, Srila Prabhupada can still accept disciples. Why not be a disciple of the pure devotee?
