Absolute favorite anime but sh*tty translation. "Buy my own insurance" was supposed to be "Take out my own insurance policy", meaning have his army of goons ready for backup. Guess it works as a goofy ass comment too though =)

"Take out an insurance policy" = common line from action / gangster movies that is cold, calculating and somewhat badass. "Buy my own insurance and everything" just sounds like some dude whining about how he's an adult now, SO THERE! While that is ultimately what the character is about, at this point Haruko had not cracked his cool veneer
