@xtreme3484 GT40 cast iron heads(race port) ported by Ben Alameda, custom isky cam, GT40 Tubular intake, Mac full exhaust,4.10s 26X10 15s slicks. The car definitely has more in it tho. Suspension is stock aside from the lakewood shocks.
I have an 89 gt that went 8.90's @ 79mph with a 2.1 60ft on motor and street tires with a stock h/c and intake combo. then i put explorer intake, 1.7 roller rockers, and worn bfg radials and a 125 dry shot on it and can only 2.2 60 ft now and go 8.60 @89 mph...Its a 5 speed and a 275/60/15 bfg drag radial,100% stock suspension all around. I got upper and lowers, 50/50s in the rear with springs and an airbag. Would you think i will go a 7.7 with a 1.60 60ft since i mph the same as you? or faster?
You might go 8.0 at best. Your high mile an hour speed down the 1/8th is because you're spinning alot and creating all that speed. If you manage to hook your MPH will be much lower with a better E.T.
thanks! it is a manual tranny, 5spd to be exact, and it has a b&m shortshifter. in this video i powershifted thats why it might sound as if it was an auto.
yeah nice!!!! my buddy has a 93 lx with a built..BUILT 5.0.i mean the list goes on..comp cam stg 3, gt40 heads ported and polished. lightweight crank, msd, bbk long tubes and intake bigger mass airflow sens,......ect..he wants to dopr on a procharger, rollcage, and a little go juice when he gets the money..fully built 5sp.with stg 4 cenerforce clutch and flywheel..that clutch pedal is sososo stiff and he actually has the same short shifter as you...its fast as hell.spins when you grab 3rd at 70!
