  • How can Ofra Haza be a backup singer to Paula Abdul? This is not right. This drives me crazy!

  • POURQUOI,,? Pas fel ELLE decu choriste c duo intérêt des Nations Unies.

  • Ofra Haza was one of my favorites. Her husband gave her aids and she died.

  • my fave

  • she has mixed India music thinking it's Arabic! But, an awesome song!

  • wich year is this ? ....................

  • @shaharmos 1995

  • Awesome! TY.

  • she looks amazing in this video!!!!! :)

  • She looks like janet jackson!

  • amazing song, amazing singers, all si amazing, great videoo :D

  • god I'd lick her ass

  • what incredible vocals !!!

  • ok, enough with this jewish religious yacking.

She's American, and she was a Superstar, and watching the vids it's easy 2 C why.

    Enough said.

  • ofra haza is the best singer in the whole world.

  • Paula is a practising Jew, just for the record! She even lights the Sabbath candles!

  • i am very curious: what is paula abdul's ethinicty ? does anyone out there know ?

  • @flameofelijah Paula Abdul has Jewish Canadian heritage from her mom and from her dad Syrian Brazilian!!!

  • Paula was born in California with Canadian citizenship. Her father is Syrian Jewish, born in Aleppo. Her mother is Canadian Jewish, from Manitoba.

  • @JLMusicLover Bravo! TY.

  • @flameofelijah Paula Abdul is 100 percent jewish from both sides

  • Awesome!

  • and the video also......so beautiful!!!!!!!!!

  • this song is so sexy and beautiful! love it so much!!!!!

  • not sure if i've seen this video before but it's hot!

  • is that Michael Massee?

  • Ofra was invited to take part of this clip's shooting but Ofra already promissed to take part of an Israeli independence day talk show special so she had to reject the invitation.

  • Even though Ofra Haza was not in the clip she did lend her voice to the song, and did you know that Ofra Haza died as well?

  • @baharheart - thereis only one talnte singer in this video and she's dead.

  • @faddy24 Although you have your opinion on who the most talented one in this video is all of Paula's fans will say other wise, I do not deny Ofra Haza's talent I didn't even know who she was until I heard her voice on the actual song. She was loved by all the people of the middle east everywhere I never got a chance to hear any of her music however. She did leave a strong legacy behind!!

  • HOT HOT HOT I love PA I have been a huge fan for over 20 years.. She still looks great..

  • theres no need to argue alcoholsavedme i wrote but some jackass removed my comment anyway dont get me wrong shes very talented i find myself listening to her music alot but she does look like a pig no offense but thats my friend who wrote back to you please excuse her god bless you

  • Amazing Ofra Haza for backing vocals..... WOW.

  • God bless Ofra and give her peace in heaven. What a loss to the world to have a voice of this angel taken from us.

  • i hope in those days they had no such thing as the swine flu because she looks like ms. piggy no offense but look shes pretty famous to hey my love is for real to except i wont give anybody the swine flu charms from her only miss.piggy

  • what are you smoking?

she was hot back in the day ...miss piggy??? ... what?? ... your messed

  • alcoholsavedme fuk you, your opinion, the beyotch is CHUBBY! So what! lmmfao

  • apparently the same stuff ass you. XD, but the music is nice????

  • BOO MY OPINION ... i know ... horrible i have one!

i still would've given it to her back in the day ... though ... i think i was 16 back then lol

  • alcoholsavedme that is the smartest thing said! Now can others express themselves.

Mucho Gusto, weakling. I do not think she would have taken it is Jesus asked her as a personal fav. ~_* Proceed...

  • you are a strange one lol

but hey ... to each their own

    take care

  • I think you are an ass for picking fights under a video, but Que Sera, Sera. Now go play in traffc! ~_*

  • you were the one that said fuck you to me ... good lord whats wrong with you! lol

  • can't read either..pity. :(

  • i think i love you now....

  • Yo Te Amo, Mi Amor ~_*

  • Love this song I always jam this when I play Prince of Persia it fits perfectly.

  • Dónde está Ofra?!

Jó, Ofra como artista está en un nivel demasiado alto para ésta chica...

    No me gusta.

  • Lol I have no clue what the comment above me are about but I luv this song :)

Paula looks like Piper from Charmed (thats not a bad thing)

  • ofra haza is amazing, without her this song would be worse

  • Open voice and back vocals are Ofra Haza

  • She is not in the video, but she does the beginning vocals and parts. She is a very good singer, an international hit with Galbi and Im Nin Alu.

  • Sarah Brightman one up Paula with Harem.

  • This is actually my favorite Paula Abdul song..its also a song that not too many people know of

  • what does shalom mean?

  • Comment removed

  • when does she say that

  • Ofra was supposed to be on the clip but she couldnt come for the shooting cause of some other show she did in Israel.

  • Oh, I see what happened here, some smartass Hollywood marketing exec in Paula's camp thought since Ofra Haza was doing so well internationally, as well as in the growing Middle East market, that Ofra could be called upon to lend some distant sounding backing vocals and thereby turn Paula into some kind of an American version of Ofra Haza by default, yet we who love Ofra know how far Paula got with that, lol.

  • i always thought this song was daring and brillent!

A bit ahead of her time here.

  • this a beast of a song tho!

  • Wrong... Maybe Paula was a fan....Sensitive Susie...Believe me Paula didn't need Ofra's voice...She chose to have it there. She has said time and time again how much she liked her.

  • If you don't like Paula Abdul thats fine... But, you thinking Paula needed Ofra Haza is just simple... I liked and like Ofra Haza's music... I really dont see your point in bashing abdul because she was a fan of Ofra and wanted to use her voice...I mean whats your point?

Obiviously Ofra was a fan of Paula Abdul to even do the track....

  • This is obviously true, same as Sisters Of Mercy got Ofra Haza to sing on "Temple of Love" because they wanted to become a male goth band version of her. Right?

    This is called a collaboration.

  • You'd be surprised how many of these so-called "collaborations" are nothing more than one producer of an artist picking whom THEY think would be a good team-up for their client, and contacts that other artist's producer, and they have all the intimate discussions - NOT the two artists themselves. It's all more cold, distant, and manufactured then some of you think. I imagine Ofra being told to record an already written bridge of music by her team and that Paula Abdul would use it on her single.

  • Yep it should have been a hit A lot of good songs go unnoticed

  • Paula makes a sweet harem girl!

  • I love that Ofra Haza was in this.

    <3

  • I would have to say that Head Over Heels was one of the most underrated albums.

  • agreed!

  • This should have been a hit... To bad it was not. ;-(

  • Careless of you to say it wasn't a hit. Billboard stats for My Love is For Real: Hot 100-#28, Pop-#16, Dance & Club Play-#1. True, it wasn't a huge hit, but still a hit.

  • I like the song...whatever

  • This is such a sexy sounding song..love it.

  • This is definitely my fav song from paula Abdul the DANCE beats fused with Middle Eastern Jewish Sounds is awesome. Of course Ofra Haza is the amazing start here. They say that in one song Ofra could sing in 22 nearly perfect over tones!!! Ofrah was yemenite Israeli and Paula is 1/2 Ashkenzai and 1/2 Sephardic Jewess.

  • mizrahi not sephardic

  • omfg paula is so hot

  • Paula is soo beautiful & talented. I don't know much about Ofra, but if she had anything to do with this, she must be great :)

  • She is. Check out Mm'mma and Im Nin Alu 1988 Disco Version. Paula's also pretty good too.

  • Abdul's most provocative vocals. Chillin, haunting, sensual. Love the chants by Ofra in the beginning.

  • me gusta solo cuendo interviene ofra haza....pero en realidad la cancion no es muy buena...muxo cuerpo sexy mucho baile pero la cancion k es lo k cuenta NO VALE NADA.

  • Paula look a lil like Piper from charmed when her hairs down and paulas part syrian so mabey that had something to do wit the time but i luv this song

  • more like alyssa to me

  • i deff c what u mean

  • This is probably one of her best songs and videos in my opinon. It's a shame it didn't get more press at the time.

  • Ofra's mostly in the beginning. I like this song, and Ofra's awesome.

  • ..who is Ofra....just woundering i know thatz pro a stupid question

  • Ofra's an awesome singer, popular in the 80's and 90's before her husband killed her. She sings the begining parts.

  • Her husband did nt kill her. If s.o. did it would have been her female doctor. But she most likely contracted AIDS in Germany in the 1980s. But her husband was a creep. A GREAT LOSS to ISRAEL and WORLD music.. Her voice!

  • But isn't their proof that he gave her the AIDS?

Well, either way, she didn't deserve to die ad was awesome. RIP

  • Ofra is the woman singing at the beginning.

  • Man i had the cd of this song and dang it, it has scratches on it and it skips :*( soo upset forgot about this cd until my bf added one of her songs on his profile on here lol so glad he did hehe man i love her singing

  • wheres ofra haza

  • The beginning.

  • I want some Hummous...

  • It's an arabic setting. It's in Morocco. Most of the people in the video are from Morocco... they were asked into the video to give it a sense or reality and the video does show culture. Paula actually went all the way there rather than in front of a green screen. She went the extra mile...

  • its not egyptian its syrian

  • My all time favorite Paula video!

  • i don't really get the meaning of the whole egyptian thing but i think it is cool!

  • You stupid moron its not egyptian its arabian. Get a book!

  • Wow... quite an american vision of Orient... Carpets everywhere,snakes,belly-dancing... the only thing real is Ofra from 0'00 to 0'57 ;)

  • just a fake tattoo she is sexy smart etc

  • How did her Belly Button get tattooed?

  • One of her best songs and videos. It's a shame that after her public struggle with bulimia Virgin Records stopped promoting her and this album didn't do well. I can not believe this was more than 15 years ago! God I'm old :(.

  • true, every move and the sequence is perfect in this video. Now, she can't count .

  • and paula made millions for Virgin. They used her.

  • Paula's half-Syrian--hence the Middle Eastern features. Beautiful!

  • shes crazy fuckable but if you look at her at just the right angle she kinda looks like micheal jackson

  • who would of guessed paula's father was half brazilian half syrian, and her mother was jewish, thats why she has such unique features, i think shes gorgeous

  • Actually, Paula's dad is 100% syrian, but raised in brazil.

  • and her mom is jewish, right?

  • Yes Ofra was a Yemenite Jew. And the most beautiful woman ever.

  • what? i meant abdul

also what part exactly does ofra sing?

  • all the parts where is doesn't sound like crap.... its ofra singing. mostly in the very beggining of the song

  • I completely disagee. Vocally, Paula brings her A-game here. To me, this song and video is her crowning achievement.

  • OMG I love Ofra. Such a shame she passed away at such a young age. May she rest in peace. Check her out on YouTube. You will be amazed.

  • 3 words: I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • is the guy wearing the beige suit funboy from the crow..? yep

  • OMG>>I LOVE IT...Hot video and great singing!

  • 3:43-3:46 those re some lucky guys... touching paula's boobs...

  • i thought when she said my love is for real at the end it was kinda creepy. the gold things in her hair looked cool

  • A shame its not out on DVD

  • יש לה קול יפה

  • wasn't there an r/b song around this time w/similar lyrics anyone??I'm looking for a song that's similar..

  • the two vids from this cd have pretty cool songs. even paula's singing couldn't ruin them.

  • lol there are actually 3 vids from this album

    1. My Love Is For Real

    2. Crazy Cool

    3. Ain't Never Gonna Give You Up

  • theres three videos off this album

    1. My Love Is For Real

    2. Crazy Cool

    3. Ain't Never Gonna Give You Up

  • I wonder how Paula meet Ofra to come out in her music of video, Ofra beautiful voice just comes when Paula sings.

Did Paula & Ofra came singing together?

  • Beautiful song and video!!!!!!!!

  • Ok at 3:35-3:38 of them couple of seconds does she bring that mans head in between her legs i am just a little curious about that one.

  • yes she wanted some head. she's human alright.

  • I love the video, but I had a problem spotting Ofra there. Was it just here voice featured? If it is a relatively new video it makes sense...

Ofra Haza R.I.P. the world and Yisrael misses you (the pope dosen't ;p)

  • good song great video !!

  • I love this song and the clip is quite amazing. Is her cultural background Iranian? Pretty sure someone once told me that

  • Ofra Haza is Yemeni/Israeli. Paula Abdul is half Syrian-ish/Canadian. Both are Jewish.

  • this video was a bit over the top...but i like the concept...there is a live performance of this song that focuses on what paula does best, the dancing, and i think this video would have been improved if it had done the same.

  • the best of paula!

  • its about time Paula embraced her heritage :) great sexy vid, Ofra makes it even better!!!

  • I love this whole album! And I was amazed by this video when it came out :)

  • When was that ?

  • In 1995

  • Ahaa.. Thanks :)

  • This is well done. I enjoyed it. I have never seen this side of Paula Abdul.

I adore Ofra Haza and miss her beautiful voice.

  • shes so beautiful in this vid :)

  • great video and song!

i'd say britney copied both in "slave for you"

  • jenndiva1....just ur opinion right? because imo she has one of sexiest voices from the 90's just my opinion

  • i lov dis song....thanks for uploading dis

  • Thank you for posting this!!!

  • i agree: ofra is the queen of singing, or maybe goddess of it.

  • I love this song and the clip. Paula looks gorgeous and very exotic, it's really nice

  • I love OFRA HAZA and PAULA ABDUL!!!!!!!!!!!Forever...

  • excelente cancion me hace acordar a confide in me de kylie minogue o erotica de madonna, son temas bien sexis y oscuros ...buenisimos..

  • Wonderfull!!!

  • omg i love this!!! paula looks like a roman goddess here!!! LUV U PAULA!!

  • La la la lurve it!

  • Shut up

  • This has to be one of my favorites song and video by Paula.

    Jammie

  • ok ofra sing with paula.with all the rispect to ...my self I dont like your chantings

  • it is respect your dictation is too bad and you can give some respect to the ofra or paula please. And stop this behavior.respect others to let others respect you. Excuse my comment.

  • i dont know why,but this video remebered me to janet jacksons -if video...

  • OMG! how she looks like my neighbor! And my neighbor's sister looks like Halle Berry...lol

  • I really like this song and I think the video is great! Who's the guy in the video that plays the shiek?

  • Are you kidding me? At least have a little respect for her. She was a remarkable singer, and didn't use her sensuality to sell albums. That woman was a TRUE singer and artist.

  • I hated this song initially, but it's becoming one of my favorites on her new CD.

  • i was a joke ! don t strees !ok i dont speak very well english but it s not a reason to be bad in your last post! u don t undersand because u want to don t understand ! keep cool

  • Oh I see. You're from France. Seriously, I was having trouble following your English.

  • Oops! I mean't this post for the song "Mmm Papi", a new Britney Spears song. (I had 2 youtube windows open at the same time.)

  • wow! what bass line on this track and feat Ofra Haza added a delish touch to this track.
