I remember seeing this way back then, killer instinct blew me away. It's still great today and I love watching the ultra combos on youtube they look great. Thanks for putting this video up, fantastic.
I remember all the hype about Donkey Kong. The graphics are very good, but then again they are still just 2D. It just looks better because they have been prerendered with proper models, where as normally they were just drawn by hand. Many people thought there was some 2,5D or 3D technology, but there wasnt, it was just very pretty regular 2D. (Of course the controls were awesome too and there were plenty of fun characters to play)
@latuman Yeah when the game was shown for the first time it was believed it was a future N64 game (or Project Reality at that point).
It's true they are 2d sprites - they are just rendered in 3d. I really only played the first game, it was fun but the gameplay was lacking for me when comparing to Nintendos own platform games.
at 10yrs old me & my mate were watching this episode back in the day and our jaws hit the floor when we saw Donkey Kong Country & Killer Instinct. We could not believe how good they looked. A great episode & iv watched them all up to this point so thanks a million for uploading them all as it brings back happy memories

Dragon was so tough later on, one of the games that improve with a 6 button controller.

£50 for a game? No wonder I never had many Snes games.

I remember playing Killer Instinct on an arcade machine at Gatwick airport, waiting for a flight to Palma de Mallorca .. back in 1995.
