it was the htdocs location ? how to change that location for a storage server? just change the file path ?

Dear sir, I have followed ur instructions step by step. After that it occured a 530 login error message while login my account. But the original nobody/lampp is okay. Is there anything I have ignored? thanks for ur answer.

Cool tutorial. I use XAMPP on my local machine to test things out before I implement them on my production web server.

Why use filezilla and not the default Gnome Connect to server which lets you mount ftp and other types of files?

to chown you no need to go like that
the ease way is
go on terminal and code:
gksu nautilus
and a window gonna open like browser ,you can go to any file and change ,delete ,rename .... like super user.
be careful on this command .

i dug up internet just for this simple config file lol
also learned how to switch users and stuff, guess running lampp as root isnt really secure :)
