  • Any chance you'll also release the "one-man band" version of the CD also?

  • @huachiman7: No. This version IS the album.

  • purchased the album last week! Love it as usual... Been working hard to learn the 12 bar blues lessons you did some time ago... I go back and watch that atleast once a week tring to totally get it and figure that out... Thank you! I also bought about a month ago your satan and adam album too Love that as well!

  • "I can get my sound on any marine band harp" I love it!!!!with all the legendary blues harp music produced on marine bands,I have NO doubt about it!!!!

  • Great video and incredible message. I'm hoping my China trip gets changes so I make the Boulder session. It's been crazy for me on schedule but I plan to be there and will known by Dec 28th. Have a great Holiday.

  • +++ i love it !!!,,, :D

  • Adam do you do that "Joe Fisklo"custom or you ;play "out of the box"harps.

  • @jleoblues: I play "out of the box" Marine Bands, for the most part. On SOUTHBOUND, I used several harps apart from that, including Hohner Marine Band Crossover, a Joe Spiers Stage I (on "Alley Cat"), and, on this cut, a custom harp that somebody gave me several years ago and that I'd stowed in the bottom of my harp bag. It had a very sticky reed. But it had a great sound.

Truth is, I can get my sound on any Marine Band type harp.

  • @KudzuRunner

Thanks Adam: You are the real deal:

I spend too much time on Harrp-L reading comments about the necessity of custom-fitting reeds and altered harps. Hell Didn't" Shakey" Walter play "out of the box' harps and he had a tone to die for?

  • @jleoblues: There's nothing wrong with gear-talk. But gear doesn't play itself, and especially when you're talking about blues--rather than Howard Levy style jazz--the gear makes less of a difference than some gearheads seem to think.

  • @KudzuRunner

Funny,I was at a workshop and Howard made a comment that we "spend too much time" talking about the harp and not enough time playing and learning technique.Personally, I love Blues but its nice if you can throw some Ellington Basie or Mingus in the mix. Adam, you are a national treasure and the generosity that you share your gifts is more than admirable! Happy holidays

  • Adam, here is Carlos Bluesman from Brazil. Is it true that Cross Harp harmonica playing is 90% aspiring than blowing out?

Man, that´s why all blues harpist become very red, like a tomato, during performances?

I can´t stand so much time. Do you have a hint about it?

    Hugzzz.

  • Thanks Adam; and yeah, if that harp clogs and that kind of s****, you just gotta adapt and keep on going; I find that to be especially true playing with a church group!! See you on Feb. 25 at the Tulsa Harp Summit, and Keep on Harpin'!! Recently had the pleasure of doing a killer harp part on "Go Tell it On the Mountain"!!

  • Hi Adam, I bought your CD and I'm glad to hear you playing guitar. It's fun listening to you while I drive my car and trying to steal some of your licks with my old Marine Band. I keep practicing guitar as my second instrument. It takes a lot of time to get something which works!!! Thanks to Justin Sandercoe which is one of the best guitar teacher on the web. Keep on blowing and strumming Adam!

  • Cool! I hope to make it to Hill Country Harmonica in May.

  • Wow wish I could sound that good on a sticky harp!

  • thanks adam, and this cd kick's ass . thanks for all your help

  • So cool..

  • Great vid as always Adam, thanks.
