  • you are too boring... Mr president.

  • Why are u blaming the journalist instead of blaming your brain dead president who can neither deliver nor communicate effectively.

  • shame on u Mr President,u also believe in leakage of oil money already and u are still increasing it.useless president

  • Jonathan has failed christians and himself.....Shame on you

  • seriously, this man is soo dull

  • Fuel Subsidy: FG to distribute 1600 buses to (180 million) Nigerians. Why is the government not proactive?

How long will it take for corruption and lies misery poverty unemployment ill-infrastructure insecurity bad economic, educational and health policies and implementation lack of adequate electrical power and water supply religious and ethnic instability embezzlement and mismanagement of resources injustice and to vanish in our land?

This nation can survive. We need a change, now!

    O'bunmi

  • Goodluck is not brilliant, now I know

  • The War is not over untill BIAFra is independent, Good question not good answer where does the Money go.

  • I think Isha did a good job in this interview, the reason why she might feel emotional and a bit tough in this interview is also cos she's west african and it also affects her whatever happens there,i think she did a wndeful job.Number of other presidents and politicians get asked a lot of tough questions like that,it all depnds on how the person interviewed respond to those questions, she just did her job, some questions neded to be asked! She asked! Don't take it too personal!

  • He should have spent more time going in to detail about what he's going to do for the Niger Delta. It's an emergency and I see no sense of urgency from him. But I hope I'm wrong.

  • This interview by Isha Sesay was very very fair. There was nothing rude and arrogant about it. All of you here are complaining what then will you say if this had being Stephen Sackur's Hard Talk from BBC. The job of a journalist is to ask tough questions and not to cuddle politicians. The reason why politicians in Nigeria misbehave is that Nigerian journalists don't ask tough questions and also do not expose their dirty secrets.

  • we Nigerian we really regret for voting you as a president some one who can't even control his wife, some one who's incompetent, some one who's can't stop boko haram violence, some one who's is controlling by other peoples 4Godsick we will keep praying to almighty to bring us a leader who can peoples our nation again the corruption and electricity, security, education, shame on you Gara joooooor

  • I am from the south, Benin City and I remember debating with my other Nigerian friends about the better candidate. I supported Buhari because of his experience and tough line on corruption. I was delighted that Goodluck won but I still had my doubts because of his inexperience and timidness. We shall see if he has the leadership skills and vision to transform Nigeria. I hope I am prooven wrong

  • Such a shame. The reporter obviously doesn't have any respect for Jonathan. But you can't blame her. The so-called president does not even stand for anything. Beating around the bush with his words and scared to criticize his predecessors. The girl was rude but in my opinion you can't blame her. Nigeria my country has lost it's respect. How then can you expect others to show respect. It's a shame. Just imagine if she'll talk to her original country's president - Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf - this way.

  • @Ikem27 : I completely agree with you....

  • @Laitalafraise It wasn't tough questions it was a finger in eye of My President, she should have asked Babangida those questions

  • His brothers name is?

    Goodluck to you too...bro?

  • I'm not a fan of Isha but she's doing her job. No rudeness here. Jonathan's amateurish answers made her probe more. Something he's not used to.

  • @Jackmosh .. thank you The president is answering questions on national issues the way my 7 yr old boy will answer questions. What right has he got to talk abt other countries when he cant even answer questions on nigerian issues intelligently.. .

  • this girl u dnt knw anything,ur information base is very shallow. u r baised and u av an attitude. if i may ask u where r u from? Nigeria i shd guess: pls learn to ask right questions according to proven facts not according to "them say"

  • this girl is not so professional

  • this girl is fine as hell. with an attitude.

  • @mycherryashante she's definitely being condescending

  • I used to like this lady a lot but this her rudeness is really too much. She is a mere journalist and she's being condescending to a President? Goodluck is calm and collected, if it were Obasanjo, i'm sure he would have raised hell! This is arrant nonsense! I have my issues with Jonathan and I wouldn't mind if she addressed him on those issues as opposed to just being rude!

  • Corruption is the major problem since they founded oil and the british and U.S. helping those crooked leaders. Nigeria needs to expand its economy and concentrate on tourism and other venues to employ its people. People need to stop blaming their leaders and take and accept responsibility for those shortcomings. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

  • " I say God will judge you Harshly"! From the bottom of my heart. For you have chased the youth and the next generation of this Country away. Thanks to your incompetence, i have had to beg other countries on my knees with money in hand, to let me into their country, in search for a peace of mind & a sense of purpose. I want you to know that you have sold the generations of intellectuals has economic slaves in other foreign countries, bcos you had no wisdom in the worth of the human mind.

  • Things need to change. i am tired of having to move from where i was born & the land to which my forefathers have laid their lives bcos of this old men, & the cult of politicians who think they will live forever. Action speak louder than words. He just said that the resources are limited. How the hell does he know that. The only limited resource of this country is human competence. Which most of our leaders lack, simply bcos they are not mentally enlightened. I spit on you! & am not on waiting u

  • @nuhalao correction Am not waiting on you!

  • he already messed up by not allowing electricity throughout nigeria.

  • I'm so stupid, I get it now. She worked for Atiku, along with those bastards who tried to gain control of nigeria by hook or by crook. Thats why she supported zoning.

  • The Americans are looking for a way to go into a conflict with Nigeria. This is obvious from this interview.

  • Jonathan Seems u got it under control Jst Make effort to fulfill ur promises We don't care about northerner south east west from moon or even from alien world if we are going to develop with the help or lead of that fellow.

  • this interviewer is APPALING. So rude! And she doesn't listen to or understand the questions!

  • not only is she rude, she is impatient as well.

  • who is this stupid girl? she needs to be thought respect (CNN should look into that).

  • This women is a rude interviewer.

  • @SpectacularFrontiers for real she is a rude ass hole cuse my expression. I cannot stand her rudeness i have to end watching the interview. She is very inexperience and I dont y CNN allowed this inexperienced wanna be ann amapor to interview our president.

  • for those who do not support him tough luck as he is president nw. if u say he is bad, y nt go bk to former presidents for lead nigeria into courrption. and for the interviwer asking about tribalism, i thin u r stupid not bcos u aint intelligent but becos u choose to b an educated illetrate. as it been more than two decades there was eva an eastern president. so read u source probably b4 tackling. the only way forward is to support him and help him out as citizens to build up nigeria. no h8tas

  • @chichijoyce4real112 Don't blame the Girl it's what the media is up to to push a fellow to say something that would hunt him down in future.

  • I love President Jonathan!!! lol he's a great president.

  • Its funny how you defend goodluck jonathan a man who has shown that he is incapable of leading nigeria, a man who fraternises with known criminals and who along with his wife has been involved in money laundering scandals, pilfering of public funds and unmitigated corruption, how can anyone in their right mind think that such a man has anything positive to offer nigerians?

  • the house of reps than the south thereby guaranteeing that power would forever remain in the hands of the north. this means that nigeria is doomed to be ruled or at least controlled by a puppet govt forever unless a new grassroots movement emerges to uproot it and replace it with a completely new power base

  • @phoenixchi28

As I said before, the parliamentary system doesn't exist in Nigeria anymore; moreover the population consensus is conducted every 5 years. All that is required is for this process to be conducted under a more equitable atmosphere, something that Goodluck Jonathan will be able to provide.

  • jonathan was being groomed in order to replace yaradua, most people in the country know that goodluck jonathan and pdp stand for corruption and discerning nigerians do not want a continuation of the last 12 years, nigeria has been run by northerners becasue the british colonial powers rigged the 1959 parliamentary elections, distorted census figures giving northerners greater representation in

  • @phoenixchi28

Only immature people resort to blaming PDP for all the problems in Nigeria. The problems on the political landscape have more to do with individuals than they do party affiliations. Unlike in the West were parties have different political spectrums, in Nigeria, all the parties have the same ethos, with individuals determining the credibility of a party.

  • @phoenixchi28

That was years ago, the parliamentary system was abolished after the first military coup took place. Northern Nigerians had been ruling Nigeria through the military because it was heavily populated by them. The British convinced them to join the army years prior to independence; they knew Nigeria would eventually implode because its peoples were too dissimilar from one another.

  • strangely enough abacha protected the interest of the nigerian economy more than obj

obj knew that yaradua had kidney problems and he also knew that a man with such serious health problems had no business in such a stressful job but he still selected him with goodluck as running mate, you dont have to have supernatural powers to know that there is a high probability that a sick man may not withstand the stress of running a country as volatile as nigeria, it doesnt take a genius to know that

  • @phoenixchi28

Stop provoking me. You're obviously not Nigerian nor do you know anything about my father's land. When Abacha rose to power, Nigeria was BANKRUPT, what the heck are you smoking. Nigeria was over 30 billion dollars in debt. When Obasanjo came to power he paid off ALL THE DEBT through a consensus agreement. Nigeria grew by 8% per annum from 1999 to 2007. When Abacha was in power the economy DID NOT GROW!

  • @phoenixchi28

Obasanjo choose Yaradua because he was the least corrupt from amongst all the governors. Yaradua had kidney problems for years, even when he was governor of Katsina, but he never died.

  • implementing their draconian austerity measures and neo liberal economic policies. america placed sanctions on nigeria only for a very short while when abacha was in charge mainly because abacha refused to take on more crippling imf loans, he argued that nigeria was generating enough revenue from oil exports and didnt need to borrow, but the west didnt want that and when he refused to give in, he met his demise

  • obasanjo remains a power broker in nigeria but from behind the scenes, you should ask yourself how he managed to escape execution while in prison - because he has some very powerful godfathers in washington and london thats why, he is untouchable, notice how no-one can pin anything on him, yes he went to jail, but his godfathers intervened to have him released and placed in power because he was seen as a safe pair of hands by the IMF, washington and london who needed a puppet to carry on

  • @phoenixchi28

Obasanjo installed himself in power, by making himself the chairman of PDP. But the president always has overriding power, which means he can be removed at anytime, moreover, his powers are confined to PDP, though since he’s ascension he hasn't been able to wield any authority. Yaradua quickly neutralised him once he came to power, with many people believing that he was portrayed.

  • @phoenixchi28

Obasanjo was arrested, not sentenced to death. He was brought out of jail by Nigerian share brokers not America, the same America that had multiple sanctions on Nigeria, be real.

  • @phoenixchi28

Stop making up rubbish, Obasanjo doesn't have any power in Nigeria, he had absolutely no say over Goodluck Jonathans decision to run for president, Obasanjo is the man who created the rotation system within PDP, moreover Obasanjo was seeking a third term in 2006 and put forward a bill to amend the constitution so that he could run for president for a 3rd time. That bill was thrown out, by the national assembly.

  • @phoenixchi28

This is Nigeria we're talking about, not Cameroon, Uganda or Central Africa Republic, where the leaders have full autonomy to amend the constitution to make themselves president for life.

  • the west uses divide and rule tactics to control nigeria it knows the northerners hate the southerners and will do anything to retain the status quo of the north holding the political power.

  • @phoenixchi28

The North doesn't control Nigeria through the barrel of the gun anymore. Nigeria is a democracy, civilian leaders are voted into power now. Moreover, Northern Nigerians do not hate Southern Nigerians; it's the elite class that plays on differences in order to garner support from the poor masses.

  • by the imf, the oil companies and the foreign multinationals who all have a very big financial stake in nigeria - all to the detriment of the nigerian people.

  • @phoenixchi28

Please quit it, Nigeria doesn't have any debt. The oil companies have been able to operate with impunity because Northern Nigerian Dictators have been in power and they simply did not care about the Southern region where the oil was coming from. It has absolutely nothing to do with European people; it's a historic issue which goes back hundreds of years.

  • the same treatment that gbagbo of ivory coast got, therefore the nigerian people are trapped under a puppet govt that is under an obligation to serve the interests of the imf, world bank and foreign multinational corporations. Goodluck Jonathan is an american stooge who was assisted into power by obasanjo , obasanjo works for the american govt and is being protected by the CIA, nigeria is now owned lock stock and barrel

  • @phoenixchi28

Nigeria isn't under any puppet regime, if the people don't like Goodluck Jonathan, they will vote him out; which will NOT happen, because most people in the country like him. Moreover, Obasanjo selected Yaradua to be president and Goodluck as vice president; unless you're saying he has supernatural powers and knew the president would die.

  • @phoenixchi28

Obasanjo doesn't have any power in Nigeria anymore; he's almost completely irrelevant in the political landscape today. Moreover, if he was working with the CIA, why was he languishing in jail during the dictator regimes which you say were American collaborators. Your reasoning makes little sense, during the dictator era, USA placed sanctions on Nigeria, if a country has another country under lock, stock and barrel it won't have to put sanctions on it.

  • @phoenixchi28

Nigeria is not like Ivory Coast; Lagos (for example) has a larger population and economy than every country in West Africa, including Ghana. Controlling Nigeria is a mission that the Western Powers have long abandon, which is why they've resorted to collaborating with us in the hopes of helping to stabilise the country.

  • @rdokoye the political and economic policy of nigeria is controlled by shell bp and various other international oil companies, shell ordered the execution of ken saro wiwa and abacha duly carried out their orders, nigeria may be large in terms of population but it has no control over its economic polices, it also can not defend itself from any external attack from NATO and it knows it thats why it will never go against america or britain,

  • @phoenixchi28

The oil companies didn't order the execution of anybody. Abacha was a madman; there's no way you're a Nigerian to make such a statement.

  • @phoenixchi28

How can an oil company control the economic policies in a country? The policies in Nigeria have to pass through the National Assembly prior to being signed into law by the president. It's a long strenuous process carried out by Nigerians. Moreover the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) which is to be signed into law within weeks will be to the detriment of all Western Oil companies in Nigeria. Many of which have threatened to leave Nigeria and go to Angola.

  • @phoenixchi28

No country in the WORLD can defend itself against NATO. Nigeria has a strong enough army to defend itself against any invading force.

  • on education and health and devalue your currency, all this led to mass unemployment and a severe drop in the standard of living of majority of nigerians.

nigeria is currently still under IMF control and you are still servicing the interest payments on your debts, your govts are also obliged to keep cutting public spending in order to keep up with their debt repayments thats why nigerian pple will continue suffering, your leaders can not go against the imf because if they do they will get

  • @phoenixchi28

The external debt was paid off in 2006; Nigeria today has one of the lowest debt profiles of any country in the entire world.

  • Nigeria is a shit hole ive lived there. There government are corrupt crookes. he's one of them.

  • this interviewer is too rude to talk to the president. the opportbuty given to CNN is a priviledge and not a right.

  • @oluwakemiification why is it a privilege for CNN to speak to the head of a banana republic. What has nigeria as a nation acheived apart from its leaders looting the oil revenue, exploiting and brutalising their own people and collaborating with foreigners to destroy their own economy, if anything this clown is fortunate that anyone is giving him the time of day.

  • @oluwakemiification your an idiot

  • She did a great job and IM NIGERIAN. I never believed in this Goodluck Jonathan guy in the first place. He cant even answer simple questions. He'll embarss our country. Get him out! We need our young leaders to takeover. Get these old people out of Government.

  • @9jachick12

Goodluck Jonathan is a young leader.

  • PLEASE DON'T SIT BEHIND YOUR COMPUTER AND BASH ME OR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY. IF WE CONTINUE TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS, NIGERIA WILL NEVER GET ANYWHERE. ALL MOST OF YOU DO IS CRITICIZE BUT HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON BACK HOME. NIGERIA IS CORRUPT! THEY ARE KILLING US! WHO DOESNT KNOW THESE THINGS..INSTEAD OF SAYING IT OVER AND OVER, WHY DONT YOU FIND A WAY TO HELP. AS FOR ME, I WILL ALWAYS TRY TO CONTRIBUTE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MY COUNTRY. I DONT KNO ABOUT THE REST OF YOU.....

  • @janugom1 A few Nigerian who left the country for a better life cannot come back and try to change it. Our leaders are the ones who can. And Nigerians have been believing these corrupt leaders are going to change our country since 1950's. Most people in our country is suffering. The only way i see Nigeria changing is putting a new government and leader in place with mostly young educated intellegent individuals. All these old people are stuck in corruption.

  • @9jachick12

For the past 10 years Nigeria has been managed by young intelligent individuals. People like Chukwuma Soludo, Sanusi Lamido, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Oscar Onyema are young technocrats who moved back to Nigeria from the Western World to contribute.

Stop making excuses for your inactivity; if you're not willing to do anything to help your own country, then you have no right to criticize it.

  • @rdokoye and yet 80% of your population lives on less than $2 a day - what have these so called technocrats done to address the glaring problem of grim poverty in that country?

those names you mentioned are neo colonial agents - they are serving the interests of the IMF and the world bank, they are mere puppets who are only interested in feathering their own nests.

  • @phoenixchi28

Where did you get that statistic from? Your conjecture is not possible with the implementation of the new minimum wage.

Neo Colonial agents propped up by whom? Substantiate your claims; please explain to me how the IMF and World Bank managed to bring Goodluck Jonathan to power? And what is the objective of the IMF and World Bank, what do they hope to achieve or rather what is their agenda?

  • @rdokoye i got it from the united nations human development report for 2009

also the fact that a minimum wage has been approved on paper does not mean its been implemented.

the imf colluded with babangida in the 1980s and lent nigeria millions of dollars to offset your gargantuan debt left by the shagari regime, unfortunately the loans were granted on the condition that you allow foreign investors in to buy up your private sector, cut spending

  • @phoenixchi28

The new minimum wage will have to be implemented, as all state governors are being coerced into doing so.

  • @phoenixchi28

IMF didn't collude with anybody, Babangida was a clueless dictator, so he's obviously going to take directions from a group he perceives to be more knowledgeable on the subject of governance. Since the return to democracy, the same IMF have continued to proffer solutions, which have been shouted out rather abruptly by Nigerian politicians, most recently on the depreciation of the Naira.

  • @phoenixchi28

The IMF can set whatever conditions they want on their loans, taking a loan out from them is optional; again, Shagari was unqualified for the job, the Northern dictators at the time wanted a Northerner in power, regardless of whether he was able to do the job or not, hence his admission to power.

Moreover, Nigeria's economy is controlled by Nigerians, how many foreign owned companies are on our Stock Exchange...close to none.

  • To all who feels isha was rude to mr. president , I think y'all are ignorant people ,how long have we been promised light, water, security , housing and the basic amendities of life from this set of people in which mr. president also is a member and yet you call him an agent of change,

  • @hey17345 why cant you ppl allow change to come into this country. always criticizing, talking, TALKING TALKING........LET THE MAN BRING CHANGE...if you would shut ur mouth for one min and look at what is going on in nigeria, you would kno that change is coming to nigeria, because of him. we are all aware of the problems nigeria has, you dont have to tell us twice, what we all are striving for is how to change that problem. Not reitirate the same damn thing....MECHIE ONU GI BIKO....

  • @hey17345 So you think the americans care about us. You need to read. Who sponsored the coups of the 70s,80s and 90s. Who supported the dictators, who benefits from the inability of nigeria to manufacture its own finished products (such as petrochemicals). If you think the bitch Isha is our saviour, you are equally as deceived as anyone else. American corporations are contributing in fuelling this crises, cos a nation in chaos cannot industralise.

  • the PDP has brought nothing good whatsoever to that country(nigeria),and yet we keep talking about who said what or would is rude or not, i think we leaving the pricipal focus here which is ,we need someone with an insight ,someone with a focus , someone with the solution of the ill natured of the present state which the PDP government has left our country......

  • @hey17345 I never said that Jonathan is God. as the president of our country, he deserves some level of respect, just like any other president. ppl like me are the future of naija who are striving and thinking ways to bring change to our nation. what about ppl like u who sit behind the comp and bash your country..please if you have nothing to contribute, dont say anything at all..because all you have to say is nothing new....we r trying to find new ways to get past that, not criticize.

  • and i dont see any PDP member who has partaken in the destruction of this country as an agent of change not even mr. president....so please leave the questions asked by isha to mr.president.......and focus more on whether we are making the right decision by allowing mr.president for the second time.........and if you 'll agree with me,i think mr.president has said more of lies than true in this interview......

  • @hey17345 You have a point, but dont you see the shame this bitch bestowed on the whole continent. Thats a big issue on ground. How many americans will watch this video. It makes them disrespect we members of the african diaspora. Think about this please

  • I dont feel she is rude. Have you ever watched BBC hardtalk? I am not a journalist but I understand her style of query. She is intentionally making him feel uncomfortable. Watch his body language particularly when she asked about corruption and Niger Delta. I feel she is a fantastic intervierwer. My fellow Nigerians, let us open our eyes. So called PHD holder that cannot pronounce simple words? He can fool some people but not everybody.

  • @adamfridel If obama comes to Nigeria, can any NTA journalist talk to him like that. We africans think like slaves, now I understand what my mother means when she says"black man, black mind" We have sold our dignity for a bottle of coca cola, so we have no sense of belonging anymore.

  • that lady is rude and disrespectful, especially to a man who is bringing so much change and hope to naija. do not try and criticize him when he really is trying to bring good change to naija, not just to his ppl in the niger delta but to ALL of naija. if you want to throw blames, throw blames at ppl such as IBB, and the majority of them that come from the north who have ravished and took nigeria for its worth. Forget zoning because for all the good GLJ bring to naija, i would take him any day.

  • @janugom1 ....sir, i think u part of the problems of this country, she is a journalist, and in that respect she can ask any questions whatsoever, let mr.president prove himself , let nigerians have a clue of who dey cast their votes for, we have been in the dark all this while bcos of people like you ,even the president of america gets such treatments ..this people are humans and i dont see why we should treat them like GODS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....

  • Isha can you speak to bush or obama that way... He is still a representative of a great nation...

  • he cannot speak good english

  • To all those who are blaming and calling Isha Sesay, names, I really don`t know what your problems are. Is she suppose to have conducted the interview on her knees to be a decent person in your eyes? In my view the interviewer did noting wrong, it is the President who was not able to give direct answers to simple questions asked him. Considering the way our Presindent ( GEJ ) conducts himself during interviews, one wunders if he takes advices fron his aids before embarking on interviews.

  • @MegaDogood Can any nigerian journalist quiz obama the way this bitch is quizzing jonathan. Y dont u africans have a sense of dignity.

  • Nigerians and not telling the truth!! I love the way this lady asked the questions fearlessly. I am Proud of her. People saying its nt his fault as he has only been there for a while, Well he is the current President so he shld be able to answer whatever question people have about Nigeria. It is part of his responsibility. Jonathan go for a Presidential debate. No debate, No Vote. I really dont mind who wins bt who is going to Perform. Nigeria is a gr8t country but mis management has finished us

  • it is not that nigerians dont accept that there is corruption, everybody knows and noone is trying to deny it. But it gets offensive when peope like the lady doing this interview stereotypes all Nigerians as corrupt bastard. She is talking to the president like she has experienced anything to call him corrupt indirectly. it is not as if the westeners dont take part in the oil corruption in nigeria! he hasn't been there long enough to call him corrupt, It is disgracefull to stereotype like that

  • All this reporters that interview nigeiran n our politicans are soo ignorant, mean and stupid all they want to do i bring down our pride and honor.. dey wod nevr win..

  • The lady Isha Sesay is from Sierra-lone her self.. we have over 14 Nigerians working in CNN.. who wont ask those aggressive questions. well she's great nways.. dont blame d ppres.... if i was the lady i will almost smack the president on he's black fresh butt..

Fuck there's money in Nigeria.. we make over 600 billion$ yearly from oil alone...

fuck the leaders. am coming to change my country.. Canadian born Nigerian trained . fuck our leaders. they will die one by one.

  • @seymark2 my bad from Sierra-lone

  • @seymark2

Nigeria makes close to $60 billion per year from oil, not $600 billion.

  • Nigerians! u need to help urself to get out of your problems cos u always run away from the truth and always think u know everything(Too Know).Even if it is Obama the girl interviewed , Obama will sit down and answer her questions without feeling bad. Do u think the western world is like Nigeria where u worship everything u see? The girl does not grow up in Nigeria, She grew up among the whites, so she will do the interview the way a white person will do it.

  • Nigerians are the problems of Nigeria. I don't see how Nigeria will move forward with this attitude of Nigerians. Most mumu Nigerians here says that the girl is so rude in her approach towards the man. If the interview was done by a white interviewer,it will be more stiffer than this and in that case u will not complain i know. U complained here because the girl is black, The girl has not done something wrong in her interview with this man, She did her job professionally.

  • @akflexy The lady is Nigerian, I think with her name. is is blunt Nigerian. But raised in the state.. but united kids got no manners. nways..

  • That person that says the girl is a bitch, u r a fool. u r the one who should be called a bitch. infact i feel like seeing u, i will slap and beat life out of u. You r the biggest mumu i have ever seen. Do u think u r living well in Nigeria? Maybe u have never moved out of that ur country to see how the outside world is. if u get out of that ur Nigeria, u go no say na u they suffer pass. Your president should even be disgraced so that he will know what he's supposed to do

  • @akflexy I currently reside in allerton, liverpool. There is no big deal about the west, there is no reason y a girl should talk to a president like that. It is a sign of contempt, no african can challenge British david cameron like that. Nigerians/africans need to have a sense of dignity

  • Fuck all those people that says the girl should have given ur president some respect, It has shown that some Nigerians are senseless. You are suppose to be happy that the girl is making the useless leaders u've been having answer questions they will never wish to answer. Don't you know that these presidents u have had are bunch of failures, they didnt do what they are supposed to do. This Goodluck man is an example, a big fool & useless. he has nothing to offer Nigeria from the way he speaks.

  • @akflexy will u then judge his actions based on all previous leaders?

We do need to realise that he IS a PRESIDENT. he has been given a role that needs to be respected. No matter what happens in the country is not her problem. She should respect that position. she wont speak to the president of her country that way so why should we condone it? And how do you know he has nothing to offer? Its quite ignorant to sit there and pass judgements about the him and the country.

  • you people are forgetting the president serves the people not the other way around so she should DEMAND answers as she is a nigerian. DO NOT defend someone who has not given to the people the vast wealth that is being ringfenced. The 12th largest producer of oil in the world. Libya is 17th and look whats happening there.

  • i dont see whats wrong. isha did a good job

  • The girls problem is a gross lack of knowledge about Nigeria. How can she ask about a most sensitive topic as rotational presidency, national stability and the 2011 elections and she would hush him down and prevent him from giving an answer.Did she not know that the violence she purportedly fears could breakout because people can miscontrue the fact that she prevented him from commenting as meaning he had contravened the constitution.GEJ let US,UK Uganda and Kenya worry about Somalia not NIgeria

  • You nigerians should be happy shes forcing your so called president to answer questions he wont answer to you people. you people need to force your governments to do more. she did good. you nigerians need to stop being in denial and realize the truth. good job ISHA! I wish she interview all african leaders.

  • @kwamebo24 , Most Africans like u don't know nor understand Nigeria. They always compare Nigeria to their sorry hell hole nations.Look at Museveni rigging himself into 3rd term or is it cameroon or cote d'ivoire? Nigerians ask their leaders questions. Respecting the man's office as the PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA is demanded. She should ask tough questions without having that sneering look.Even if she does not believe him.We respect Presidents of miniature banana republics, why not respect ours?

  • @fmskido just follow the middle easterns footsteps and fix your corrupt nation. isha sesay did a good job. it doesnt matter where shes from. as long as shes from africa shes legit to ask our african leaders whatever. we need more interviews from her

  • @kwamebo24 shes interviewing a nigerian president not a somolian or uganda or whoever your talking about. why do you people feel so hurt for her pressing your president for legitement answers. she did well. you people are in denial. you know your country needs major changes. and the funny thing is isha sesay probably knows more about nigeria then your poeple commenting

  • who the fuck does this lady think she is? What an attitude! If CNN thinks she is good at work she does, they're really behind. You dont disrespect ppl like that in the name of an interview. She's so full of shit...rubbish! I'm not a big fan of goodluck johnathan either but he was really calm and responded well. The lady just needs to learn how to ask questions respectfully period.

  • One word the girl I's a bitch I wish it was someone like abacha she was interview after the interview na konboko then go use on her !!!

  • lol. this is kind of hilarious. sesay was like WTF? haha

  • hahahahahahahahahaha, her face expression says " i do not understand what you're saying Jonathan. Please speak english." I don't know why you guys are complaining about this girl being disrespectful. IT"S CNN, do you really expects anything good from them concerning Africa? Isha, Isha, Isha you are too much.Lol

  • @lilly34cute he looked like he wanted to strangle her hahaha. she was very aggresive

  • look at you guys complaining about a girl doing her job. Its just because the guy is not competent, she should go and meet peole like IBB then you see how he can make her respect him with the way he talks.

  • CNN pls dont send this stupid girl to interview Nigeria again!find a better person next time!

  • Comment removed

  • Isha Sesay is the name of this bitch of Sierra Leonean decent born in the UK in 1976. I can't stand this bitch on CNN watching the coverage of the Egyptian uprising. She is so full of herself and feels she is better than everybody else.

  • jonathan scares me

  • no matter what people might say and think, the girl (sorry but she is a child for me) is simply sick and stupid. she talks and gesticulates with some kind of boldness that is simply disgusting; she simply lacks professionalism, says things with 100% assurance and still want him to respond. Well you can only do that to GEJ not OBJ, he will simply give you a slap that will cause you to forget the next questions to ask.

  • she is not a professional at her job. she let the passion that she is from Africa engulf her in her interview.

  • The way she is talking to & interrupting the president is just rude: I dont know who she thinks she is... & she's begging that posh English accent a bit too hard KMT

  • Iam so concerned about the prospects of Nigerian troops being sent to die in Somalia. GEJ you said Nigeria's foreign policy would serve our national interest, why are you alluding to this indirect father christmas request again? Let South Africa with bigger fire power handle Somalia. I might understand if it were Cote d'ivoire, but Somalia?? Why the hell should any Nigerian die there? Let Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia,South Africa,US and Britain sort it out. We have more need for us in W. Africa

  • This little bitch should be cautioned by CNN not to act like she is Jonathan's girl friend. She cannot talk like this to any world leader,so why should she speak to our President in that tone and body language?GEJ please resist the urge to send out boys to Somalia.Don't make more Nigerian widows and orphans because of some thankless African conflict. Africans don't deserve Nigerians dying for them. Learn from history.Enough of the senseless sacrifice!

  • it is so funny how the press seriously belittle black african presidents. see how she talks to him like a child and you know what? it is well deserved the man sounds like an idiot, undefined and clueless. well hearted but not smart enough!

  • it is so funny how the press seriously belittle black african presidents. see how she talks to him like a child and you know what? it is well deserved the man sounds like an idiot, undefined and clueless.

  • @All:In general looking at d statistics of d few comments here, those against d fucking journalist and her fucking interview are more than twice d few who support her rashness, rudeness and message of doom for our dear country.how can she say with such degree of certainty that violence is gonna break up bcos goodluck wants to run for presidency.what d hell does she know about zoning in Nigeria. Is zoning constitutional in d first case?yet she wont allow Mr president give her correct answers.

  • @seasmia:take a honest look at the comments and check the statistics,u'll find that u are almost alone. like the wise saying "in the mouth of more witnesses d truth shall be established".u need to go back and listen objectively to d interview again.she asks Mr president a question & doesnt even wait for him to finish & then she cuts in wit her own ideas as if she's got answers predefined.why ask the question in d 1st case.she talks of violence braking out with so much assurance.she's an ASSHOLE

  • the reporter is trying to make Goodluck look like a fool....but if we Nigerians have this kinda attitude wtih them politicians then they will see they got few time left to cheat on Nigerians

  • the reporter is trying to make Goodluck look like a fool....

  • @bharlo Zoning is a very sensitive part of Nigerian history, even Obama dares not talk about it cos it is even bigger than him. It is the british divide and rule system. This fucken bitch then decides to bring it up.

  • @phceidem I really enjoy the fact that u are able to tackle most people's opinion with reasonable facts.i am not saying making Nigeria a better place is a one mans job.No, its not.My point is,if and when common citizens realize what we go through and can talk and address it with the hope that something can be done then Nigeria will be fine.People know what is going but wont say nothing cos their hope is gone or maybe scared.Democracy is suppose to b government of d pple n by d pple n for d pple,

  • @bharlo She is making jonathan look like the other leaders. He may actually be, but at least give him a chance to mess up. I think the americans want a conflict

  • This reporter is a complete imbecile.I cant believe CNN will employ such an idiot, a messenger of Atiku an co. but God will destroy their plans and turn their counsel to foolishness.look at such level of disrespect for a whole president of Nigeria. aside from the presidency, Goodluck is old enough to be her grand father.

  • @alibabaLondon , so what? Tell me one the thing she said that didn't make sense. What are you saying about disrespect and Goodluck being old enough to be her father. I just wonder how the country will move forward when people think the way you do. If Goodluck knew what he was about and was eloquent and had the diplomatic skills a president should have, do you honestly think the reporter would be able to rubbish him the way she did?

  • Im amazed at the comments that Im seeing. Shes doing her job is what shes doing.

And shes doing it very well. You think SHE"s rude? Have you ever seen BBC's Tim Sebastian conduct an interview? Shes completely docile by comparison. Honestly, shes asking all the right questions and in the correct manner. I think niffy101 is right, shes just a little emotional. Its not suprising, shes west african. The issues she discusses with the president affect her more.

  • @Omegasiyon , this is the first sensible comment I've seen here.

  • i think this reporter is just been very straight forward just a little emotional about asking questions because i feel that shes also affected and she is doing her part of improving this country forward the only way she knows how i think people that think shes rude dont get the point here we have heard all the stories before yet no change i will do worse if i where in her position to talk to the president because the post has lost it's respect a long time ago.
