  • phone=voice so does vox, so it would be more appropriate to call it happy voice..... Having a strat or wo of my own, REAL AMCN STANDARD strats, I prefer my epi L Paul. I recently traded a partsocaster for an epi Lucille, Not the best trade, it has garbage electrics sounds like my amp is underwater.. I intended to change this, I found that my action when adjusted down makes the 15th fret buzzz hard. it is Korean, and QC sucked on some of the older ones, bit my LP w/ p90s is as nice as any Gibson

  • @bajorektom If you're used to the Strat singlecoil sound (very clear and crisp), the Lucille does sound very muffled. I changed the pickups to original Gibson ones and it opened up quite a bit. The action on my guitar is very low without buzz - take it to an experienced repairman to have it properly set up; the least he can do is tell you with certainty that the guitar is faulty and not the way you set it up.

  • @leozingy yeah agreed but my les paul sounds beautiful, i was considering a setup, that i have done it has some bad frets no fret wear, does no keep tune, idk how it passed qc, it sounds like 1/2 the volume of the lp and it is epi korean... it needs fret job, p90s, and locking tuners, then i may have something, dont understand the fine tuners w/ no lock... gorgeous looking and nice acoustic sound though.

  • Great tone! Great playing! Loved hearing that guitar. Thanks for posting!

  • @wannabebluesguy The Lucille is a 335 variant, and is a semi-hollowbody just like the 335. All the 335 variants -- 335, 345, and 355 -- share the same body dimensions, body style (semi-hollow, with center "sustain-block", and laminate construction and materials. They differ primarily in cosmetic touches. The 345 and 355 add the Varitone switch, and the 355 lacks the f-holes and features a Maple neck rather than mahogony.

  • LOL!

  • @wannabebluesguy BTW, you're right about the 335, it's based on a 355, there's a difference (stereo jacks, the Varitone switch).

  • is it good with overdrive or distortion? i dont know if i should buy this one or a hagstrom viking!!!

  • That guitar sounds SO jazzy.
