  • glenn miller has a song .... smoke gets in your eyes... same tune but slower

  • I had the opportunity and memorable experience to dancing to the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska in 1964. Of course, Tommy was no longer with them, but the sound and sensation of his music lives on.

  • this song is amazing, feels like back in 1930s

  • love this song and by this recording one can tell how improved the recording process has become.

  • Nice solo by Bud Freeman on tenor.

    Doug....Lovin life....Los Angeles, CA USA!!!

  • what a great video alex..keep up the good work..

  • Thank you Alex. Great song and I love the old record player on the video.

  • These rhythms are addictive.

  • wow...this is so cool. My Mom and Dad were 13 years old the summer that came out. How times have changed. Seems like people had more sense back then.

  • Not the best arrangement.

  • You're right. It's one of my favorite orchestras, and one of my favorite songs, but the arrangement doesn't quite fit. But that only shows that if you're a great innovator who takes alot of musical risks, they can't all work out. STILL better than half the stuff that comes out these days!

  • I want to be like Papa

    and play the Arschtrompete!

He says it takes much practice,

much practice and much sweat !!

My Arschloch is not big like his
