@skullface405420 if you tapped into the main power and its fine then thats cool i can see where its running off from i just need to know where to solder my negative and positive leads at for running the leds bc thees not enough power to make 5 bright ones from the default red led power light thing and i find it hard to bridge them but if there was a easy way to run them with a 9 volt and them only come on with the switch i would do it but i feel i would b changeing the batterys often

I agree with you, I have a PS3 and an N64, I also used to have an Xbox 360, I could not get into games on the X box 360 or the PS3. I tried Gears of war I wasn't impressed. I really believe nowadays they concentrate on the look of the game than the actual gameplay itsel, and it is more important to me that the game is fun to play than wether the graphics look amazing.
Although GOW looked better than goldeneye on the N64, the gameplay on goldeneye game was a lot more fun.

While I agree that cartridges are more reliable, they are way outdated. You can't have the same graphics, sound quality, or memory space as with a disc (meaning, with discs and memory units, you can save more game data, leaving more room for a bigger game).
I agree 100% that cartridges are more reliable, and they last forever...but it wouldn'tve worked out.

I'm not saying the N64 you moded is bad, just teling you batteries isn't the best way to mod N64 with security screws.

@sayastra are youstuck in the 90's? Im starting to think you dont like Mario 64 because it was 3D and not traditional 2d platform like you prefer. Mario 64 was awesome. @spyderhex dumbass, the N64 CAME OUT IN THE 90'S! and i didn't like Mario 64 because the camera angles where awkward, they should have done like Crash Bandicoot and left a fixed position and changed it when the time was needed, instead they did it like the rush released PS game "jersey devil" and left it up in the air. Castlevania, MK, Killer instinct all came out on older consoles first, so i don't know what you're on about there; load times, i'll give you that, but i would rather wait for

@spyderhex something good, then be let down by N64-I've seen the 64 for sale for 40 bucks and couldn't justify buying it. I even bought a sega genesis for 30 (worth it)
Playstation was the system i prefer, that has a library i preferred. Oh yeah, and that system was in 3D for almost all games...... Notice i didn't mention the Saturn, this is because i don't know that system.... i try not to talk about that which i don't know/haven't experienced maybe you should do the same.

@spyderhex actually i've never played a pokemon game.......... and on that note, i made my point. I don't like the n64, i gave multiple reasons why i don't like the system, so therefore i simply proved that it's perfectly plausible to not like this system; I didn't throw a tantrum and started cursing, i just simply stated problems with the system that myself and others had.

@spyderhex on that note, the only positives about this system (little to no load times, durable carts and the unmentioned tested fact that the hardware itself was durable) had been done before (and in my opinion much better) in the past consoles, by Atari, Sega and yes, nintendo. you can throw another temper tantrum if you like (that more than likely goes of course from the oringinal argument) i don't care... As far as me being brainwashed, i actually play most of these games with friends.

@CustomGamer48 makes sence.... the only problem is that if the battery runs out of power, you gotta open it, replace it, etc. I sell the N64 I mod, and I don't know a lot of people with the security tool to open up the N64 and change the battery. I'm not saying the N64 you moded is bad, just teling you batteries isn't the best way to mod N64 with security screws.
