just search youtube , i searched replace psp screen , when my screen was broken , n it was a good tutorial (one of the first vids that comes up , goes for bout 7 mins..
@taymonty1 Yeah I would suggest doing that, right now, I have a nice camera but I'm still experimenting with it, I'll be making many videos in the near future.
OMFG that is f*cking sexy. Where could I buy one like that?
Also, since you obviously know your way around the PSP, would it be an easy task to remove the glasslike thing in front of the LED screen to remove a piece of dust that got behind it? Just send me a message. KTHXBAI
Hey man whats up, thanks a lot for the comment :] Read my decription for the links etc, the case is 17$ Free shipping to US. and for your problem... you couldn't remove the plastic infront of the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) (Not LED - Light Emitting Diode) you would take off the faceplate, which is just 5 screws on the Fat PSP (1000), 7 (i think) on the Slim PSP. Visit my Profile, for my messenger accounts and I can assist you further, Thanks :]
Ehhh you get used to it, look around on youtube for some nice video tutorials, I know I seen one nice one, pictures, really clear with annotations.... Make sure you have a nice screw drive with a sturdy handle not to strip screws, and yeahhh My suggestion, Have cups or bowls to put the parts in sequential order, so you can jut go backwards to instal, and you won't be missing screws :)
Most important things, ribbon cables, etc, I broke a Backlight AND Data LCD Ribbon cable connector on the motherboard, AND somehow the power fuse blew so it didn't charge, but i changed that with my USB Charging mod... Yeah I bought a new PSP from a friend and yeah, all good now, I wanted to do a mod and complete it by the 31st (LEDs) but It wasn't required (Originally for competition) and yeah, I couldn't go (Changed rules) so yeah.
thats what im worried about is the ribbon cables you can't just solder back on. so if i take the back of the casing off do i have to worry about terring any?
Congrats man, Thanks very much for the comment, Currently have a problem with it, I broke an LCD motherboard ribbon cable connector, and yeah, its like 5-7 pins, its gonna be hard to fix, I'm gonna try to throw some strands from inside 22 Gauge kynar wire and try to solder it, although its a .5 millimeter pitch, which is tough, getting a pin point soldering iron soon and stuff, so that will all be good, if not, I just bought a PSP 50$, ill have a set of replacement parts ^_^
Yeah, thanks dude, my friend had me install just the faceplate so I didn't have to take everything apart :P Anyway, 17$ for the whole case @ Deal extreme + Free Shipping (Link + info in description) And yeah, maybe you should try the Full Case mod, buy the backplate, get that screw driver, get some bowls, a bright lamp, a laptop w/ tutorial, and go for it dude! :D Anymore help, hit me up
Thanks I have been looking around for about a month for a full clear replacement case and all the sights I found were either too expensive or a bit shady. My question to you is how long was the shipping?
Shipping came from Hong Kong, took a couple of days, but it arrived to my house, no scratches, damage, buttons in a new plastic thing, protective screens over the inside and outside of faceplate, and he signed it confirming it wasn't damaged when it left the place ;o I'm happy with it and the price was great :] I'm from the US so 17$ For a clear case, free shipping. Cool :D Good luck dude, message me for any more detail or help
Yeah, Everything with Deal Extreme worked out fine... 16.95$ For the Case Free shipping to New Jersey where I'm from.... It came from Hong Kong, They sent me the buttons and the home bar in excellent condition, and the case fit well on my PSP... everything was perfect. :] If you want to get the case the link is in the description, and I highly recommend it. :D
Lol I don't have lights in my triggers yet, and do you know how hard it is to take everything apart, solder the speaker + and - to the LM386 chip, then the chip to the ground on the motherboard, then the + from the battery to the input on there... then the output to the 2 LEDs on the triggers which have to be SMT (Surface mount) and I have to drill a hole in the trigger and put the small square in there, and then put everything back together, takes like 6 hours trial and error...
how to put light in psp? pls help me?
