I'm pretty sure that she left him because she wanted to give him a future (and really loved him that much) and I think he's looking back on it saying that if he hadn't scored the last touch down they may never have fallen for each other, etc. and the baby wouldn't exist so he'd never have the memory even of loving her.

@Katielyn4evr i really beleive she left because she did love him and since she loved him soo much she gave him a future, without the baggage of a baby. and he wonders what would have hapened if he never made that last touch down, which means without that he wouldnt have had a scholarship, he wouldve went with her. i love it!
