its easy to me i already have the source that i found around my house and the speakers im using on my sony unit are bose companion 2 multi media speakers
Okay so im looking at the pyramid 52amp power supply. I wanted to only use one output side for now to power a car amp in my house. Couple questions 1. Is the negative terminal the ground? 2. Can i use this power supply to power a head unit using one output and the other one to power an amp. The amp I have is roughly 400 watts, but im gonna be looking into a 660 watt one. And lastly can i wire speakers to the headunit? And speakers to the amp? trying to create a surround sound effect. Thanks (:
Best to buy a power supply that is like 50amps or more dont be cheap a car battery charger wont power good subs at all it will cut out and could burn your amp up.
can i connect head unit directly to car battery without any fuse or resistor? cause i tried once but then its fried..but i saw othr ppl vid and it work but not in mine
what u cood is connect it to a car battery charger.......i used that for a while and den i just bought a home voltage converter for like $8 and set it to 12v and dat works
is there any way to hook up a radio straight to a fully charged car battery see what iam going to do is install it in a trash can with speakers?for use at the river like on a inner tube
you know im not sure about that i mean my friend did it but his battery charger was a huge one. and he had a normal car battery to so idk ill ask and get back to you
if it is a car battery charger, then yes, cuz the charger has enough juice to charge a car battery then it will have enough for a cd player and an amp, but I recommend using a car battery, then charge it when its running low.
Or use a 400W or higher pc power supply! those work the best!.
a few months ago, i connected up an old stereo and some speakers to a 9v remote controlled car battery.. worked brilliantly, for about 15 mins! :P gunna try and link the stereo up with the computer PCU tomorrow.. anyone got any hints?

@pelacas13 depends on what kind of charger.

DevinG1992 3 years ago
well i just sold my amp but you will need
1. amp
2. amp wiring
3.subwoofer
step 1. take your power wire and hook it to the red clip
step 2. take your ground and hook it to the black clip
step 3. take your blue wire and hook it to the radio ( the blue wire)
and then hook them up to the amp then hook your subs/ speakers what ever up to you amp and it should work
