to make it wavy, roll the hair from the roots around to clamp and curling iron. leave it for a a5 seconds, and quickly pull it away. dont unwrap it, but just pull it gently from your hair. it looks amazing when you do all of your hair :D

I do the technique at 2:40 with a 1.5 in curler I can never make ribbon curls like you just did. I turns out more like a spiral curl. Is it because of the technique I'm using or is the curling iron too big for that type of curl? Please help. Oh and my hair is really straight if that makes a difference.

Omg.! Thank you so much.! It's 4 am and I've been looking for a few decent looking ways to curl my hair because I have very thick shoulder length hair that doesn't seem to wanna curl correctly or when it does it won't stay curled for more than like 3 hours.! Thanks.-3

Your hair curls really nicely! I have a question maybe you can help me with. I have no problem using a curling iron and getting a really nice curl. I actually use the technique you showed before the tight curl. So I'll curl my hair and have all these nice curls and then a hour later or so, the curls start to fall flat. It's really annoying! lol. I use hairspray sometimes right after I curled a section and sometimes I dont. But either way I still have the same problem.

@MissStarsSparkle definitely not a stupid question! I think you should blow dry it straight first instead of straightening it to avoid too much heat :)

@DazzleMeHay actually you should towel dry it as much as possibly and then roughly dry with blow dryer, cuz if u blow dry straight your setting your hair straight and the curls wont hold as well, if u towel and rough dry with dryer you will have a better help curl cuz your funnishing the blowdry off with the curlers (hair bone dry with rough dry) and setting the hair curly :3 just saying as i find it holds alot longer and better than if blow dryed straight :3

I use the 3rd technique where you move the curling iron lower and lower and I love my curls. They stay all day and my hair is long and thick. I'd like to see a cute little hairstyle with it. I want to wear it to a wedding but every hairstyle I've tried doesn't really fit the curl. If you find one please tell me (:

just a tip...

i know you used a heat protector originally but just the pre heat protector doesnt protect your hair enough. you should spray every section with a light to medium hold hairspray as to not singe your hair. it will also help to make your hair feel healthier longer. And you have beautiful hair so keeping it healthier longer is better. hope thats helpful =]
