As far as I've been able to find online they might be available around mid to late April. Enough time to save up for the GX put a deposit on. As for price, I'm seeing $799 US at most online stores, inc hard case.

these are really nice. i just wish they didnt put the tacky looking gold hardware on the gx. if it had chrome hardware and covered pickups, it would be perfect.

SWEET!!! The GX sounds better to me. Sorta Slash meets Van Halen. Now if they would put the Nano mag Pickup, or an Piezo bridge in these for acoustic tones. HINT HINT Epiphone. Acoustic plus Double coil plus coil tap....HMMM.

@hungrysparrow I completely disagree. I've got the original Prophecy EX. I think both the blade inlays and the headstock decor look way better on the old model.

I wonder why the hell they put satin finish on the back on of the neck, I had that polished out to, y'know, be able to move the thumb while playing. Stuff like that.

Out of the two, I'd choose the GX. I'm not much of a metal player, but the GX has a little harder tone than a regular Paul, which I LOVE in a guitar.
