@SouthernPrideBoys32 you only need to put in the address of where to go. the gps will do the rest. if not using one on your phone, most of them will get you where u want to go. i prefer magellan though.

Ok to all u naysayers... I've an Infuse and this thing saved my life... i just moved to a new city and was driving like a pro in no time. I could time trips, choose highway or not & change my destination in transit. 20 seconds to send you on your merry way... unlike the feckless Nuvi Garmin that takes me everywhere but where i want to go... just tried out "search in plain english" in hungary.... Awesome... Dózsa György str (which we have in 95% of the cities) is understood as Daughter George str somewhere in usa... :D - you might look into hire some local people to improve your voice recognition

Please add bicycling turn-by-turn navigation! The website Google Maps Directions gives good biking directions. It gives helpful directions, but they would be much more useful if mounted on bike handlebars and showing turn-by-turn directions.

@richandiben You can cache the map portion of the directions, so basically do the search from home and it will download over your wi-fi connection. Then you are ready to go, of course if you miss the road and needs to recalculate, it will have to download from your data plan.

I live in europe, and the next border to another country is about 30 miles away, i often drive there and will be charged with 5 €/ MB of data traffic... What will be, if i e.g. drive to italy and want to get routes there? Can i download the full cards for my travel region before i start, e.g. in the netherlands?

Google Navigation is awesome. But one thing you NEED to improve is: the directions are to complicated! I dont want to hear street names and numbers - I want to hear only simple directions like "turn left" "turn right"... I dont care about the street names, because I actually dont know on which street I actually am - we dont have a street name sign everywhere in our country...

And also: please for god sake, replace the TTS voice, if I hear the annoying robotic woman, I just want to kill my self.

For those who claim you need an unlimited data plan to use Google Maps with Navigation, not true. With Google Maps 5.0 (released last December), your phone now renders vector graphics as opposed to tiles, along with offline reliability to pre-cache your route. Compared to early versions of Google Maps, the app now uses about 100x less data. I've used it extensively on a 7-day trip in California and the total 3G usage from Maps alone was about 75 Mb. Not bad at all!

I have a question. I have HTC Desire and there is a problem with google maps. If i am on wifi there is no problem with maps or navigation. But when i am not on WiFi i dont have maps i cant do anything with my navigation or places, simply nothing.
