i dont buy the serb hitman theory, a pro killer would use a better firearm, not a re activated firearm, and the killer grabbed jill's arm so hard it left a bruise, why would a pro hitman do that, he wouldn't, he would just shoot her in the back of the head. the fact the killer grabbed her tells me it was a very personal killing, a jilted lover, a jealous ex boyfriend.
One point of derision. The gun. If you come from Serbia a de-ac would be unnecessary , you'd have any gun you'd need. If not , it's 30minutes to buy one, anywhere. Ammunition would be the same. All the rest well let's see shall we ? Interesting movie, thanks for the upload.
It has recently been bought to my attention, that as well as trying to purchase radioactive material, smuggling drugs, and importing guns into the UK, the Serbian involved in Jill's demise, is wanted by the Balkans war crimes tribunal. It seems our own government protect war criminals, it all makes me wonder just how important this serbian is to elements within our own government, if they will go through all this trouble to protect him?
@owen199m Plenty of Evidence, however whether the police give it all back remains to be seen. Days after giving up my identity to the BBC, I was arrested in Nov 2008 under the terrorism act! The police kidnapped my two year old daughter, in order to force my wife to leave our family home so they could search without a warrant or any of my own witnesses present, they ransacked my home over the course of six days, taking all the evidence, of which I am still awaiting the return.

Dando was murdered in revenge for Blair's murder of countless Serbs and in particular the killing of TV personnel at Belgrade. Blair, the mas murderer of tens of thousands of Serbs, Iraqis and Afghans was named a 'Peace Envoy' demonstrating that the worst lunatics have taken over the asylum.
Absolutely right my friend, this murder was covered up by Blair, in fact an innocent man was fitted up just so people wouldn't link it to the war crime of Blair in bombing the Belgrade broadcast tower.
why did he take offence!because he couldnt lift the garden mower and the garden shed etc! no seriously ,because he knew labour and the left would let all the albanians flood in to sponge off us!!!!
The boyfriend did not do it! And the E fit wasn't even the killer. The polcie admitted that after nearly a year. The E fit was a red herring and Alan Farthing had an alibi and no motive to kill his fiance. Farthing is totally innocent. Jill was murdered by one of her former boyfriends.
Two of the men who lived near Jill's unlived iun Fulham house (i.e. the next door neighbour and the man across tehr oad) both saw the gunman walk away immediately after the murder, leaving the area in front of the house. It is strange that both men knew Alan Farthing quite well but neither recognised him if he was the killer. Wouldn't you say that's a little odd?
Samgreen that totally undermines any of your arguments. Nobody should take you as credible with such stupid comments. You are wrong, admit it. Alan Farthing did not murder Jill. Another ex boyfriend did. You don't know enough about this case to pass judgment against Alan farthing who had no motive. You say he killed Jill because he looked like the efit but the efit wasn't the killer, the police realised that months after the murder. Different clothes and different height and other appearance.
The brutal nature of the killing, a revolver pressed into her left ear was identical to the murder of the editor of a Belgrade newspaper who published an article critical of Milosevic.
in a murder the victims closest freinds and family are always the first suspects, but i never heard of her boyfreind having had any motive for killing her so no im certain it wasent him.
He didn't have a motive. The beneficiary of the willw as Jill's father. He also had an alibi. he was operating on a cancer patient at teh time of the murder.
the motive doesnt have to be money...maybe she discovered something odd/damaging about him..he is a royal physician afterall...now do the royal family have a history of get involved with murder conspiracies....?
Farthing was a suspect but he's the only one of Jill's many lovers or ex lovers who can be eliminated with certainty. he was int he middle of an operation at the time of the murder. Alan Farthing could not possibly have killed Jill Dando. Plus he had nothing to gain. His life was ripped apart by Jill's death and the main beneficiary of the will was Jill's father. So he had no motive and a perfect alibi.
Not an expert as such, though I have studied this case in sufficient detail to write books about it and worked solidly on it for 7 years which probably makes me one of the most qualified to speak about the subject outside of the police force.
NuLabour is also responsible for the unprecedented level of organised crime human trafficking and corruption in London/media....wen evr they caught out, they do a political whitewash...
@eclecticfire73 If it's to do with Labour, why is it the only time I went on a coach from France to the UK and my passport wasn't checked, was when the Conservatives were in power? I was shocked, as it was when the IRA were bombing. The Conservatives loved unlimited immigration as it meant cheap labour as they didn't want the minimum wage. It was a usual Conservative tactic, to blame everybody else for what they do.
Urr, I think youll find this was NuLabour covert policy..a deal they did with the polish government. All poles that came were fitted up with council property, they congregated at the end of the street every morning and a minivan came to pick them up to got to their shift down in the field or the sweat shop or whatever. They did this for a year or two, the motivation was the paypacket they returned home with.
if they spoke out, the penalty was shipped back minus the wage that they were building up in lieu to them. It wud have been more sensible to give the underclass the chance, but this interferred with middleclass outrage about people on benefits working, and yet the jobs needed doing for fuck all in the factory or whatever, for the economy; and so, the deal was done: unemployed poles were off the street and off poland's welfare, labour could escapegoat the Uk underclass for all their woes, a
Why did one of the suspects ASK for a destination on the bus? Surely he would use his/her oyster card? Does the fact that he/she didnt use one suggest that they WERE NOT local? I thought in something like 99% of murders, the victim knows their killer...how do you know all this?
'Sweating man' was not involved in the murder. My book suggests he was a witness to the crime. After seeing Jill Dando with what looked like a stab wound (it was first thought to be a stab wound) he panicked & ran into Bishops Park. A man matching his description threw a knife into bushes on the park & then this man emerged from the park sweating profusely. He acted suspicious because he had seen a dying woman and had a knife in his pocket. He got rid of it and escaped as quickly as he could.
What would the odds be of having 2 stalkers? One harmless and the other a killer? Why did George Bary get caught again wondering around outside her house - after his release? What is going on here?
The Police are only human ....humans make mistakes. Whether or not Barry George pulled the trigger I do not know. But if this had happened 50 years ago he would have ended up the same way as Timothy Evans and Derek Bentley, who also had " low IQs " . he's lucky that we don't still have the death sentence in the UK. Unfortunately you can bet that some smart arsed film producer will make " coin " with a film about this case !
The conviction for rape was probably a set up. Sluts know they can get loads of money in criminal compensation if they pretend to be raped.
Also, it was a clean kill nicely planned. If Barry George had done it, he would probably have shot her in her big tits 4 or 5 times and kicked her in her giant flapping cunt. She was a right slag.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The real killer here is Barry George, and now he has gotten away with murder. The theory that her killer was a hired hit man it just a paranoid conspiracy theory. The real killer is now free.
think you'll find that barry george would struggle to build a house out of lego....converting a gun to fire real bullets aint simple & i doubt he'd have a clue.....
The murder weapon was never found, he would have never needed to convert anything to fire bullets. All he needed was a real gun, even a retard can use a gun.
So you agree with senior detectives who said the original trial should not have gone ahead due to a lack of evidence?
"The prosecution went ahead despite serious doubts that there was ever enough evidence to convict him, senior detectives admitted yesterday." - David Leppard, The Times
No George was convicted of attempted rape in 1983, he couldn't get his trousers down and hold onto the victem at the same time so she escaped and ran into her flat.
That's why police questioned George in the Rachel Nickell murder case in 1992. That made George suspicious of the police. So, after Jill was killed George went to unusual lengths to confirm an alibi, making the police suspect him.
Robert Napper was eventually charged with her murder, after police tried to stitch up Colin Stagg.
Just as I suspected the police had pressure on them to convict anyone and as always they arrested a man with a low IQ.
This reminds me of a case of stephon kistko who got 15 years for murdering two little girls when all along he was not guilty.
I have a theory about the jill dando case. At the same time she was shot dead, a woman with the same appearance was due to give evidence in a perjury case against a corrupt politician who got four years.
He IS NOT a convicted rapist. Stop telling deliberate lies. You, BOYZEE1, are a low-intelligence bigot. Leave barry alone. he admits his mistakes and is ashamed of them. But he did not kill Jill Dando.
Well he should be in Broadmoor anyway! Ok so he couldn't complete his rape act and got done for attempted rape instead, sorry about that. I bet we have not seen the last of this bloke's m.o.
A not guilty verdict was returned quickly, George was acquitted on 1th august 08.
Jill was killed at 11.30am 26 April 1999,3 days after NATO bombed a Serbian TV station at 00.16pm on April 23 1999, killing 16 TV employees. Some believe she might have been assassinated by a Serb hit man.
From day 1 I knew he didnt do it. He is strange but not a killer.I think he is a potential stalker and a pest but I always doubted he could carry out something as calculating as murder. I have always believed the serb theory.
As in most cases the police must make an arrest and get a conviction regardless of whether they are guilty or not.
george was a bit backward and strange obviously that makes him a murderer!
I think not.Good luck to him,I hope he crucifies the police in civil court
"As in most cases the police must make an arrest and get a conviction regardless of whether they are guilty or not."
Exactly, Diamonddavej! Well said. 8 years he's served for a something he didn't do. I just wonder how many more people are rotting in prison right now for a murder they didn't commit.
A poster mentioned that the police said that the case they recovered had been drilled. Where does this information come from? If that is the case then it's indicitave of an inert collectors round having been used. However, this probably wouldn't work very well. Anyone got a source for the quote?
Here is the original story, it was in the Irish Examiner on 13 March 2006. I can't post links, you can find the article if you enter this into Google with quotes...
I keep hearing that the round was tampered with to reduce the noise by removing some of the powder. Anyone got any evidence for this as I can't find any? Clearly, it had been fiddled with but this could have been because it was assembled from scratch from an inert round as sold to collectors or assembled from components acquired seperately without using proper reloading tools?
How does ANYONE barring the true killer of Jill know that the bullit that killed her had ANY gunpowder removed? Same as - Jill was forced to her knees. No one knows she was forced to her knees by the killer, she could have slipped - cowered away from gun etc
We don't know, but it's a reasonable theory given that the bullet had been removed from the cartridge (or so it seems given the uniquer crimping marks). The crimping was to reduce the noise and increase the damage so that one bullet was sufficient to kill. Removing some powder would have assisted the killer.
The bullet was made by remington Peters in the USA. That much is a fact. It was modified by the killer or whoever supplied the killer with ammunition.
This is clearly from someone who knows nothing about firearms. Deactivated firearms that use blanks are very rare - in over 20 years of shooting, I don't think I've ever heard of it being done.
The reason given for crimping the case-mouth is wrong. Crimping is nothing to do with reducing the report. It's in order to physically hold the bullet in place as the brass loses much of its elastcity when you remove the bullet and may not hold it in place firmly enough.
Does George sound like an experienced gunsmith? From the BBC...
'Prosecutors say the spring of the gun is exposed in the picture, proving it had been modified.
But Mr George had said: "I believe there was a spring type of thing, just for the thing to slide back, but I can state categorically that it does not fire anything out," the jury heard.'
The gun George was pictured holding was a Bruni 8mm blank firing replica.
Only a bit of alcohol and caffeine I'm afraid. It's not been the most popular move in the world to speak up for Barry George over the years, as the prosecution evidence in the latest trial underlines. However, there was never any real evidence to connect him to Jill's murder. I figured it was unlikely that many people would be inclined to speak up for Barry George given his character and standing in society, so I thought I would give it a go.
I agree the new trail is a farce. And what were they saying now? He liked Bond Girls. Like that makes him guilty. George has an IQ of 76 and cant organize a simple day trip to the Zoo.
One thing missed, the bullet had half its gunpowder removed, further reducing the noise and reducing the danger of the gun barrel exploding when in contact with the victims head.
Yep, I hope so too. Most people think that Barry George is a bit of a dodgy character, but doesn't deserve to go down for life for a crime he clearly did not commit, or even was capable of commiting in such a professional way. Lets hope that the new jury see it that way too. Otherwise, ultimately, none of us might be safe from a miscarriage of justice.
Hi, I agree, the new trial has been a big character assassination, which isn't hard because Barry George has obviously got problems. However, there is no evidence to suggest that he is capable of killing anybody, especially in such a professional way. Also, no real evidence to connect him with Jill's murder. where did you get the stuff about half the gunpowder in the bullet being removed please? I knew the cartridge had been crimped but didn't know this might have been a reason.
Google "Man jailed for Dando murder to appeal" its an Irish Examiner article published on Thursday, April 13, 2006.
Retired metropolitan police commander John O'Connor said the bullet was drilled and half the gunpowder removed & the gun barrel was smoothed to render it untraceable.
"This was extraordinarily well planned. She was killed by a lone assassin in a very professional way. That is military/terrorist in style. I know Barry George is incapable of doing this." - John O'Connor
Just goes 2 show that if you live in the crazy big city, crazy big things can happen 2 you, she shoulda stayed in Weston-Super-Mare! Theres a lot less fruitcake weirdos to harm you out of town! I know a woman answered her door in Hackney and was spat on by a complete stranger. In these densely populated areas anything can happen.
er? Just because you are shot does not mean you are dead! You could be shot in the arm or leg and survive, so the phrase 'shot dead' is quite correct as opposed to 'shot and injurted'.
Hmm...aren't a lot of English people a bit odd? The presenter, for example...would it kill him to wash his greasy hair and perhaps run a comb through it?
As below, the easiest way to digest the evidence from witnesses is to read Scott Lomax's book. Scott didn't draw any conclusions however, so I simply scripted and filmed the hypothesis that fitted the evidence.
Barry George was also a chief suspect in the Wimbledon common case. The shit-cunt Police are just trying to fit up the nearest convenient obb-ball,thereby letting the killer(s) off scot free.Bloody typical!
Yes, he was questioned about the Rachel Nickel murder which is Barry George's explanation for acting oddly (even more odd than usual)after Jill was murdered. As someone with a record he would have been profiled and dismissed as a suspect by the Police early in the investigation. The fact that they changed their mind after a year isn't adequately explained in my view.
And one of the cid in the case was Knobbing one of the witnesses on the quiet.Bloody typical! If it turns out Barry did do it,that would nause up the case. The only reason they came back to him,is coz they had fuck all else to go with!
Yes, I think that the affair of the deputy investigating officer with one of the witnesses was actually witheld from the trial jury. When the first Appeal came up, I think that the Appeal judges mistakenly thought that the trial jury had been informed of the affair however. I think that witholding the fact of the affair was just one of the many things ruled as "admissible" which would have in normal circumstances been ruled "inadmissible".
Yes, it is based on the evidence of the 16 witnesses and real events. The credit for the collation of much of the witness evidence goes to true crime writer Scott Lomax.

was Alan Farthing ever a suspect, and if not, why not ? The Kosovan assassin story is garbage, tho its clear this was a professional hit.
eclecticfire73 2 years ago
The brutal nature of the killing, a revolver pressed into her left ear was identical to the murder of the editor of a Belgrade newspaper who published an article critical of Milosevic.
dopolavoro1 2 years ago
Again, was Alan Farthing ever a suspect, and if not why not..
Jill Dando has absolutely no Kosovan organised crime connection....she was just an English light entertainment presenter
eclecticfire73 2 years ago
in a murder the victims closest freinds and family are always the first suspects, but i never heard of her boyfreind having had any motive for killing her so no im certain it wasent him.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx502 2 years ago
He didn't have a motive. The beneficiary of the willw as Jill's father. He also had an alibi. he was operating on a cancer patient at teh time of the murder.
ScottL1982 2 years ago
the motive doesnt have to be money...maybe she discovered something odd/damaging about him..he is a royal physician afterall...now do the royal family have a history of get involved with murder conspiracies....?
eclecticfire73 2 years ago
He has only been a royal physician since September 2008; 9 years after Jill was murdered. So it has no relevance whatsoever.
ScottL1982 2 years ago
Farthing was a suspect but he's the only one of Jill's many lovers or ex lovers who can be eliminated with certainty. he was int he middle of an operation at the time of the murder. Alan Farthing could not possibly have killed Jill Dando. Plus he had nothing to gain. His life was ripped apart by Jill's death and the main beneficiary of the will was Jill's father. So he had no motive and a perfect alibi.
ScottL1982 2 years ago
Farthing did it! everybody knows it! what you a fucking expert?

Not an expert as such, though I have studied this case in sufficient detail to write books about it and worked solidly on it for 7 years which probably makes me one of the most qualified to speak about the subject outside of the police force.

SuzLa1 1 year ago
Urr, I think youll find this was NuLabour covert policy..a deal they did with the polish government. All poles that came were fitted up with council property, they congregated at the end of the street every morning and a minivan came to pick them up to got to their shift down in the field or the sweat shop or whatever. They did this for a year or two, the motivation was the paypacket they returned home with.
eclecticfire73 1 year ago
if they spoke out, the penalty was shipped back minus the wage that they were building up in lieu to them.

He didn't use an Oyster card because they didnt exist in 1999 when Jill Dando was murdered.
ScottL1982 3 years ago
Why did one of the suspects ASK for a destination on the bus? Surely he would use his/her oyster card? Does the fact that he/she didnt use one suggest that they WERE NOT local? I thought in something like 99% of murders, the victim knows their killer...how do you know all this?
importedmusic 3 years ago

JustUsIce 3 years ago

So you agree with senior detectives who said the original trial should not have gone ahead due to a lack of evidence?

bollocks. he was no retard. he was a coniving convicted rapist. A guilty man is gonna walk free.
BOYZEEE1 3 years ago

Work it out for yourself.
girthy6 3 years ago
Well judging by todays outcome, seems the police have duffed up the whole thing again, like Sion Jenkins etc.

Diamonddavej 3 years ago
From day 1 I knew he didnt do it. He is strange but not a killer.I think he is a potential stalker and a pest but I always doubted he could carry out something as calculating as murder. I have always believed the serb theory.
As in most cases the police must make an arrest and get a conviction regardless of whether they are guilty or not.
george was a bit backward and strange obviously that makes him a murderer!
I think not.Good luck to him,I hope he crucifies the police in civil court

A poster mentioned that the police said that the case they recovered had been drilled. Where does this information come from? If that is the case then it's indicitave of an inert collectors round having been used. However, this probably wouldn't work very well. Anyone got a source for the quote?
AJL444444 3 years ago
Here is the original story, it was in the Irish Examiner on 13 March 2006. I can't post links, you can find the article if you enter this into Google with quotes...
"Man jailed for Dando murder to appeal"
Diamonddavej 3 years ago
I keep hearing that the round was tampered with to reduce the noise by removing some of the powder. Anyone got any evidence for this as I can't find any? Clearly, it had been fiddled with but this could have been because it was assembled from scratch from an inert round as sold to collectors or assembled from components acquired seperately without using proper reloading tools?
AJL444444 3 years ago
How does ANYONE barring the true killer of Jill know that the bullit that killed her had ANY gunpowder removed? Same as - Jill was forced to her knees. No one knows she was forced to her knees by the killer, she could have slipped - cowered away from gun etc
TopCat7 2 years ago
We don't know, but it's a reasonable theory given that the bullet had been removed from the cartridge (or so it seems given the uniquer crimping marks). The crimping was to reduce the noise and increase the damage so that one bullet was sufficient to kill. Removing some powder would have assisted the killer.
ScottL1982 2 years ago
Again Speculation ScottL.
The crimping marks could have been made at the bullits construction - ie homemade.
TopCat7 2 years ago
The bullet was made by remington Peters in the USA. That much is a fact. It was modified by the killer or whoever supplied the killer with ammunition.
ScottL1982 2 years ago
This is clearly from someone who knows nothing about firearms. Deactivated firearms that use blanks are very rare - in over 20 years of shooting, I don't think I've ever heard of it being done.
The reason given for crimping the case-mouth is wrong. Crimping is nothing to do with reducing the report. It's in order to physically hold the bullet in place as the brass loses much of its elastcity when you remove the bullet and may not hold it in place firmly enough.
AJL444444 3 years ago
Does George sound like an experienced gunsmith? From the BBC...
'Prosecutors say the spring of the gun is exposed in the picture, proving it had been modified.
But Mr George had said: "I believe there was a spring type of thing, just for the thing to slide back, but I can state categorically that it does not fire anything out," the jury heard.'
The gun George was pictured holding was a Bruni 8mm blank firing replica.

You speak and write like a child. Go and do a paper-round instead.
Your reporting on such an important case is quite frankly ridiculous. Your camera-man must have been laughing himself to sleep.
BOYZEEE1 3 years ago
is this man on drugs. He has no conviction in his voice. He is just seeking attention.
BOYZEEE1 3 years ago
Only a bit of alcohol and caffeine I'm afraid. It's not been the most popular move in the world to speak up for Barry George over the years, as the prosecution evidence in the latest trial underlines. However, there was never any real evidence to connect him to Jill's murder. I figured it was unlikely that many people would be inclined to speak up for Barry George given his character and standing in society, so I thought I would give it a go.
wilsonsk8s 3 years ago
I agree the new trail is a farce. And what were they saying now? He liked Bond Girls. Like that makes him guilty. George has an IQ of 76 and cant organize a simple day trip to the Zoo.
One thing missed, the bullet had half its gunpowder removed, further reducing the noise and reducing the danger of the gun barrel exploding when in contact with the victims head.
Diamonddavej 3 years ago 2
All this character assasination is because they have no hard evidence, let,s hope justice is done and George is found innocent.
Anstwoy176 3 years ago
Yep, I hope so too. Most people think that Barry George is a bit of a dodgy character, but doesn't deserve to go down for life for a crime he clearly did not commit, or even was capable of commiting in such a professional way. Lets hope that the new jury see it that way too. Otherwise, ultimately, none of us might be safe from a miscarriage of justice.
wilsonsk8s 3 years ago 2
Hi, I agree, the new trial has been a big character assassination, which isn't hard because Barry George has obviously got problems. However, there is no evidence to suggest that he is capable of killing anybody, especially in such a professional way. Also, no real evidence to connect him with Jill's murder. where did you get the stuff about half the gunpowder in the bullet being removed please? I knew the cartridge had been crimped but didn't know this might have been a reason.
wilsonsk8s 3 years ago
Google "Man jailed for Dando murder to appeal" its an Irish Examiner article published on Thursday, April 13, 2006.
Retired metropolitan police commander John O'Connor said the bullet was drilled and half the gunpowder removed & the gun barrel was smoothed to render it untraceable.
"This was extraordinarily well planned. She was killed by a lone assassin in a very professional way. That is military/terrorist in style. I know Barry George is incapable of doing this." - John O'Connor

As below, the easiest way to digest the evidence from witnesses is to read Scott Lomax's book. Scott didn't draw any conclusions however, so I simply scripted and filmed the hypothesis that fitted the evidence.

Barry George was also a chief suspect in the Wimbledon common case. The shit-cunt Police are just trying to fit up the nearest convenient obb-ball,thereby letting the killer(s) off scot free.Bloody typical!
bubbygooner 4 years ago 2
Yes, he was questioned about the Rachel Nickel murder which is Barry George's explanation for acting oddly (even more odd than usual)after Jill was murdered. As someone with a record he would have been profiled and dismissed as a suspect by the Police early in the investigation. The fact that they changed their mind after a year isn't adequately explained in my view.
wilsonsk8s 4 years ago 3
And one of the cid in the case was Knobbing one of the witnesses on the quiet.Bloody typical! If it turns out Barry did do it,that would nause up the case. The only reason they came back to him,is coz they had fuck all else to go with!
bubbygooner 4 years ago 3
Yes, I think that the affair of the deputy investigating officer with one of the witnesses was actually witheld from the trial jury. When the first Appeal came up, I think that the Appeal judges mistakenly thought that the trial jury had been informed of the affair however. I think that witholding the fact of the affair was just one of the many things ruled as "admissible" which would have in normal circumstances been ruled "inadmissible".
wilsonsk8s 4 years ago 2
all seems plausible.

Yes, it is based on the evidence of the 16 witnesses and real events. The credit for the collation of much of the witness evidence goes to true crime writer Scott Lomax.
