Stop talking about the book. Of course books vs movies, the books always win. The movies can't possibly be like any of the books their based on--very few if any story filmed is like the book it's based on. And this story is "bases" on the book. Not intending to be exactly like it. Get wise, folks.
For all it's cheesiness and shortcomings, I enjoyed this movie immensely, if only for the beautiful shots of Bucharest...and you know...Oliver Martinez at his hottest.

@pupplayer12341 i read blood and chocolate the book first, then saw the movie, fangirled over them, then read nightshade. so no, nightshade has nothing to do with my love for B&C, but i'm glad people would be interested in B&C because of nightshade, which i liked, but nowhere near as much as B&C.
@WulvesR0ck I've never seen tweenlight or it's sequel...nothing can compare to True Blood in that respect...Blood & chocolate has a great story & the ecenery is exquisite...some movies are not meant to be scary just good watching...I think audiences expect too much these dayz...cest la vie...peace out...

Personally i found the book boring and crap. It was like reading another twilight story. This is not the most amazing movie in the world but i found it entertaining and darker in its own way. this is the adults version of the book.
What do you expect people say? "Wow, this movie, which is based on a book I read, is exactly like the book in every way!" This movie worse than Twilight and I hate Twilight! At least the producers of Twilight had enough respect for that so called author to actually stick with the story. And it's not the same plot line, in this movie the message is a complete cliche, but the message in the book was way more realistic. And the fact still remains, if they had just stuck with book maybe they would have gotten better reviews and more money, maybe they would have even won an award, but when you base a movie on a book and don't stick to it, it's bond to go downhill.

@jomfrublod Unfortunately, that's the way a lot of Hollywood films are made nowadays...once the writer of the book sells the rights to make the movie, the scriptwriters have control over what they can and cannot use in the film, unless the author expresses that they want some control over the story, etc.

@ginita105 and @Crystal Dragon2692 in the book they weren't protrayed as "beasts" they were wolf-like, just slightly bigger with bigger ears and longer toes then the normal wolf, don't know about you, but that doesn't sound very beast-like to me. And I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't computer generate them, I know they had a tight budget, but would've been nice to see how they put the book description to use, not that they followed the book much anyway

The movies all right but it's hard to love it since I read the book first and was disappointed left and right by the changes made in the movie.
Gabriel was one of my favorite characters in the book and this makes me sad. xD

this was one of the old werewolf books that most people grew up with now days you get blown over crap from twilight WHEN THERE WASNT EVEN WEREWOLVES IN THE BOOK OR MOVIE >:C there SHAPESHIFTERS. the meaning 'werewolf' means MAN WOLF the ones in the books are just big ass wolves that wear short shorts

@Wildflames18 I definitely agree. I read the book and it was so much better than this movie. In the book the girl doesn't end up with the human she ends up with the alpha male

@nyumino i haven't watched the video yet or anything but i'm reading the comments here and also looking up the movie on wiki. i agree and its really stupid to change it from the book and make it an entire different thing.

@ginita105 and @Crystal Dragon2692 in the book they weren't protrayed as "beasts" they were wolf-like, just slightly bigger with bigger ears and longer toes then the normal wolf, don't know about you, but that doesn't sound very beast-like to me. And I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't computer generate them, I know they had a tight budget, but would've been nice to see how they put the book description to use, not that they followed the book much anyway

@scene120000 sorry but what what do you mean she ripped it off? if your talking about the wolves then their appearance a little bit but from what I've seen and read about the Twilight Saga they are not very similar stories
