  • truely fail-tastisch

  • fantashish

  • haha :D sey wa relly god :D I think that was toally a German :D Just a little bit too fast :D

  • @Jaanina1 Nö, that was maybe Westerwelle or Öttinger, but no one in Germany speaks with this bad accent.

  • @buntgestraifft na klar, er übertreibts ja auch ein bisschen, um es ein wenig zu verdeutlichen :D Aber ich hab schon welche gehört, da kommt das ganz schön nah dran :D

  • @buntgestraifft No, they speak worse. Na echt, Mann! :)

  • So... I am from Germany and I only understood the first five seconds. No one in Germany talks like that... or maybe my grandma.

  • I live in Germany but the accent is not like that LoL.. the bitter people trying to imitate the German accent.

  • I am German and when i hear a German speaking English i understand him to 100%. You on the other hand try to imitate the German accent and i understand nothing.

  • @CossacksChampion Then you didn't understand at all the point of the video. It's about how the language sounds to those who don't speak it. It's about phonology, not semantics or grammar.

  • @vladimirbarraza

Obviously i understood that and still the video is bad..

  • @CossacksChampion Volle Zustimmung.

  • Only the politicians from Germany are talking like this :D

  • What's with the dislikes? Germans speak EXACTLY like this! :P I should know, inlive there. The perversion of the English language here is horrible... ^^'

  • @inflamesfan03091993 Are you living in Germany.? Because the Germans have a other accent really. :D

  • @GinaMausi100 I am German and live there. And in my opinion, they/we talk like that, if not worse... :P

  • Lol

  • Zät is rait. Zom of us used tu talk laik zät, but only 60 yärs ago. =)

  • I am german and wtf never heard someone speaking like this..

  • @Ilikecakemorethanyou As he said, it's a cliche German accent that you find in movies.

  • fuck it i cant speak in this accent i dont like being an american!! -_-

  • Why does every native English speaker sound french when they're trying a german accent?

  • No German would speak like that. Not even a German who can't speak english talks with an accent like this.

  • that's the netherlands accent

  • Hey, its dusseldorf, our friendly neighborhood morale officer!

  • only nativespeakers can have a accent, i am german and i still can hear out that youre a english nativespeaker...

  • FAIL!!!

  • Gotta, agree...I am German and we don't even sound like that. Sorry dude, but try another language cause this one is just going to get you ridiculed

  • -thumbs up- Not exactly realistic, but oddly hot.

  • this sucks sorry but it does :( i love accents i now its weird but i do and that one is not good

  • We don't talk like that and we hate your face

  • this is how arnold schwarzenegger had spoken english at the beginning of his career, but hes not german ;)

  • much better: watch?v=D3U67ORqQCA

  • FAIL

  • This sucks. Sorry! but true. Can't believe it got SO many hits. That's why I looked in the first place. Auf deutsch heisst das: caveat emptor. Neee, also, das ist ja gar kein Deutsch, aber jeder weiss, was ich damit meine.....

  • Im half german, half australian and I swear no one talks like that... i mean yeah, their english accent is quite horrible (mostly) but this sounds more like a swedish person...or sth.

  • Ich muss schon sagen so schlecht wars nicht.

  • what the fuck man, you sound like a retard, trust me not a single german talks like that.

  • @ARMYaustrian haha, ohhh u have no idea XD I'm attending an international college to learn English and there are German people who really talk like this! xD (I'm German, too, and I hate the accent >__<)

  • @ARMYaustrian YOU sound like a retard, getting upset because it didn't sound sincere. It's a stereotype. He's imitating the stereotypical German accent which very few, if any Germans will actually speak with. He never claimed it was realistic. Get over it. Everyone is stereotyped. Learn to laugh. It was just a bit of fun. Do you suppose that Germans don't ever poorly imitate or make a mockery of American accents? American accents like his? No. Exactly. ...Hypocrite.

  • @EilisLornaWalsh2 lol u mad

  • there are hints of the german pronounciation but it's not clear and mostly just not right....

  • That really isn't a german accent (:

  • I wanna talk like DR.RICHTOFEN!!!

  • Such a stupid video.

  • Fantastish lol

  • that quite good..mostly better then me, and i have a deep voice..

  • I heard waaaay better German accents on youtube. That one sounds horrible.

  • Comment removed

  • Are you a racist?

  • Ääääh nope

I´m German, and REALLY noone speaks like that

Perhaps maybe some old people who never ever spoken english, but noone else

  • I cant stand people who say "Im German and no one talks like that." Well of course no one talks like that in Germany because in Germany they speak German and this guy is clearly speaking English.

  • @McRamTam All the same, we speak English only marginally less than German. Some of us can actually master the W's and Th's in English, and there are so many dialects in German (just as in English, especially when it comes to America) that to say all Germans speak like that is... well.

    A stereotype.

  • This is an insult to the German language !

  • LOL

  • well... my german friend spoke english like that. even the voice. well except "fantastisch".

  • Oh I just love those German accents!

  • i was the 1000 like

  • i was the 1000

  • Thanks Matt Damon

  • @ranma763

    lol

  • ich lieb deutshland

  • @yulyu stop complaining ,learn a real launguage like german

  • Jesus Christ, people, quit your bitching. He's just trying to fake German because he obviously can't speak it. To German speakers, yes, it's not going to sound German because it ISN'T German. This is more directed to those who don't understand German and therefore are fooled into believing it is.

  • Weren't you in The Informant?

  • Too much 'isch' in fantastisch...

  • Ach mein gott ich dachte, du wärst Leonardo DiCaprio aus dem Daumennagel! 0.0

  • foreigners actiong funny, didnt sound like you were impersonating a german guy, rather sounds like your dad with a dick in his butt blud :)

  • Loddar can speak german too - PERFECT! Watch "The German Class" on our channel, if you want proof! :) And don´t forget to share. ;)

  • Chuck Norris can speak German.....in Chinese

  • @GulfCoastFlames28 haha wooow havent heard that one before XD

  • MATT DAMON got bored again

  • nobody in germany have tihis accent .

    fuck you .

  • @deutscherbayer1 dude he says int he beginning of the video that the accent is "cliche" and remnant of WWII movies. learn to freaking listen.

  • he said ww2!!

  • that's than a bavarian accent

  • Epic fail, man! It's not enough to say "s" instead of "th"...

  • @meta1storm The Germans say more of a "z" instead of the "Th".

  • @TheGenesisfan93 My mistake. I'm German myself and we pronounce "se" like you pronounce "ze"

  • @meta1storm Just give me a German girl.

  • richtofen from black ops talks like that

  • that's certainly not a proper German accent!

  • Its really sounds like german, but its not swedish. It sounds german becouse germans, swedish, denmarks... were from same race in mediaval age

  • I'm German and find it highly amusing what native English speakers think of the so-called German accent.

Yes, there ARE Germans who are just not able to pronounce the English vocabs properly, but thankfully not all Germans are that untalented.

  • you need to be a bit more staccato

  • i'm german and no one ever Talk like that!

  • @TheYTupdate XD same here but you have to admit that was funny shit

  • @TheYTupdate ur like 8 and I doubt ur not even a percent german kid

  • @ChickenTUGGET O damn my heart is broken 'cause you write that.

but i can prove that i'm german ask me what you want and i translate

  • @TheYTupdate dont mean to but in but translating is easy now wit google translating just saying

  • @TheYTupdate Americans are to weak educated to actually speak any foregin language so actors try to fake accent. And that sounds riddiculowus for both - english speakers and speakers of that other language.

The most stupid thing is thar on movies Russians in Russia speak with each other English with russian accent WTF? The same about other languages.

If we learn other language, we learn also accent - it will never be perfect. But creeping your own language on purpose i much more unnatural,

  • @karolbeatbox The guy is spot on. That's how many germans sound while speaking english which is extremly funny to many native english peakers...Similarly, a native english speaker trying to speak german, might sound equally or more ridiculous to many native german speakers....

  • Comment removed

  • @Hydrefyricon It doesn't change point. I suppose that here are few english speakers who speak any foregin language. But guess that some speak for example.. spanish. Now if you are that person, try to listen to Spanish guy who pretends to speak spanish with english accent (by crippling his own language on purpose). I guarantee that you will notice that his spanish is not correct and that he does not sound like being English native speaker.

To catch the point you have to speak any other language.

  • @TheYTupdate Of course they don't. They speak their native language. The video shows how Germans presumably sound while speaking english.

  • @TheYTupdate

i'm german too, and you're right!!

  • @TheYTupdate if ya listen he says it's based on WWII movies, old ones at that, it's to be funny, it's more..Nazi then German i'd say

  • @TheYTupdate My top comment is creeping up on yours..lol

  • @TheYTupdate there is: WESTERWELLE!!

  • @TheYTupdate Ich bin auch Deutsch, aber ich höre viele Menschen im Süden sagen, dass

  • You said: 'Ca Va' .. That's French

  • Pretty close to a German accent though. Germans pronounce all the English words equally horrible.

  • @FBSidious yes but english people pronounce all the german words terrible, too ;)

  • @FBSidious How can you say that? I AM German and I don't think I pronounce the English words horrible. Not ALL Germans are idiots, you know?

  • Kinda Indian, maybe? Well we can agree on one aspect: it's ANYTHING but German.

It's probably no real existent accent of the world at all, or a pretty poor mixture of all of them. (Not even the WWII-movie-people receive justice here. And that in itself as a representative example is a level of the ladder I don't really wanna climb down to. I mean, come on. At least you said it was most "cliché".)

  • faggot.

  • @DjKalle2009 fuck you homophobe!

  • @interekweb suck it up , dick

  • Not German, its a "better Öttinger" :D

  • He kinda sounds like Dr. Richtofen...sorta...

  • Swedish??? Not likely. Try again, nay-sayers.

  • I don't know what do you people have. It's really german... the way he speaks. He sounded like Angela Merkel :D

  • hey.. that´s matt damon, not??

  • sounds NOT like german accent, sorry.

  • haha what a geeeeek

  • It's aight sounded like a mix between german and swedish

  • He looks german bu he cant speak like one.

  • it's fine, the only thing that souns Swedish about it is perhaps the nasalising, but I've heard worse by Germans - not bad!

  • That's not really german accent especially not the "fantasish" in the end. (that's also why most people think it sounds more like french)

For german accent you just have to harden the consonants.

  • das ist nicht an allen deutschen!

  • that's not german you noob

  • @mackierer gamer!!!! xD

  • You are SO sexy

  • Nothing like German. Not heavy / low enough.

  • @whiteboibrhv as my german teacher is from München I have picked up a bayrisch accent..all the different German accents interest me and the little words and phrases/expressions unique to each area or even as native as to a specific city... I remember her mentioning some of the unique pronucniations and way of speaking in Köln and in areas in the North...p.s. I love the unique foods and such from the cities...I do not know if you are from Bayern but she said an exclusive food is rice dumplings?

  • @spazgecko Well an exclusive german food ist definitly Schnitzel, Bratkartoffeln, Bratwurst, Leberkäse etc.

well iam not from Bayern so i cant say if this is an exclusive food from bayern, and never forget sauerkraut ;)

  • @whiteboibrhv well I know Kartoffeln means potatoes and the brat in front makes me think of bröt(bread)...I may have heard it before but I may have forgotten so I was wondering what Bratkartoffeln meant? thanks!

  • @spazgecko bratkartoffeln means fried potatoes, no frenchfries but fried potatoes.

  • @whiteboibrhv well, you might wanna say bavaria and not bayern so that our dear english friends get wtf we are talkin bout ;P

  • @whiteboibrhv as a american with german immigrant grandparents i used to eat that stuff al the time my during easter my grandma would make hassenpfeffer once in a while ill make alittle wiener schnitzel not many younger poeple like that kind of stuff but i guess when u grow up eating you love it
