A splendid performance - what a pity Keroncong is generally considered music for old-timers in Indonesia. I joined a Keroncong ensemble in Jombang East Java called Orkes keroncong Aneka Irama in the mid-1990s and most members were over seventy. It's fascinating music, rhythmically, melodically and lyrically vastly more interesting than the current bubble-gum pop trend of boy bands.
