  • The video is good, good job, my personal observation is the short guy should do the charging and try to get inside the defense of the tall one, no point in maintaining distance the short guy has to keep the game in close range for him to reach with his punches and kicks, try to add side stepping when you advance to your opponents and do other kicks in addition to the shin kicks

  • HELL YEAH!..you guys took Martial arts to a new level! Strike control and Ground control!

  • can someone help me? how do you get into boxing or mma teams, do you just turn up? because ive trained mma and kickboxing and i know for spartan you just turn up at a session and ask them about it but how do you do it for boxing

  • are shin pads worth it?

  • @thatkindofguy234 100% worth it! Before i had shin guards every time i would kick my punching bag i would some pain but after i got my shin guards there was no pain.

  • I love sparring!!! :D I love throwing combinations then shooting for a takedown and ground and pounding!

  • i never saw this part of superbad...?

  • right intensity and power put in. this is how everyone should spar.. good job guys

  • i love to spar with MMA gloves to get used to them, and i have fun sparring gotta love this beatiful sport :D

  • lol at guy on left, fatty

  • DOnt move your head back when your getting punched at

  • Good one guys! I assume you have practiced kickboxing/karate/muy thai/taekwondo?

  • lol the tall guy seems to be having a seizure

  • crossing legs alot u need to work on ur stance and boxing

  • Both are skilled..its good to see

  • im glad to see some people that know what they are doing instead of these teenage fags that buy gloves and they are automaticlly professional fighters

  • @EliLaneCarlton LOL that made me laugh nice one

  • @Mrjustinqqq their fat are the shield and their peepee are their swords :]

  • Keep on training...

  • im no martial artist. but these guys look pretty good at wat they do. id love to learn this

  • @colmoreilly You guys should wear head gear, light sparring isn't the same as hard sparring, with head gear you really get to practice hard hits and that makes you more alert and keeps you a fast fast pace.

  • Whoever taught them to kick needs to go back to Karate class

  • MMA gloves hurt less in my opinion. And you can throw faster too. Not to mention grapple and fight on the ground.

  • @gkdrummerboy Wtf? MMA gloves hurt less?

Im guessing you dont train, and if you say you do then your a damn liar.

  • they both spend more time looking badass then fighting that way

  • ... good work from the short guy though, taller guy watch youre hands.....

  • really clean take down... however it seems to be common place the round house to the ribs. I'd watch for that getting predictable or your liable to having it caught and swept.

if your not willing to train other kicks at least learn some different set ups to it to make it harder to spot.

  • O ya and to keep from getting cut up,so you can spend more time training, and this is a controversial opinion, don't use leather sparring gear. keep up the good work, and have fun.

  • my one criticism is spar just a little harder

  • The tall guy keeps dropping his hands and bobbing forward with his unguarded face. Gonna get knocked out. As for the take down, keep your head up.

  • i thinks its great to just full on spar with everything put together. especially with the actual gloves. i like sparring with those especially for stand up rather than using boxing gloves. great work. looks like a lot of fun. keep it up.

  • getting hit with the 4oz ers is a real jaw rattling experience

  • 2.53 guy in black shorts could a thrown a couple of light knees in there but a sweet spar overall

  • boy in the black shorts is ok .. could improve on hes tecniques because when he kicks he could easily get taken down because hes to slow , and should work on hes takedown defense

  • the kid in white looks very awkward for a fighter...hes very spastic and his form needs alot of work...not to mention he leaves his jaw wide open when striking...and yes i know that this is just sparring...hes just not not fighter material

  • yea ur not sposta spar with the same weight gloves they fight with (4 ounces) they make sparring gloves for sparring, this is just stupid. thats how ppl get knocked out during "practice"

  • If you're going really light like these guys are it's not really a problem...and um...with normal sparring gloves you can't grapple which sort of makes the whole concept of mma sparring obsolete.

  • actually thats not true. Not meaning to be a dick but there are a such thing as sparring gloves for mma, they have a curl over the fingers and an open thumb for grappling, but are 10 and 12 ounces. for full grappling and takendowns and ground work they use heavier "ufc" type of gloves but any intstructor with common sense doesnt allow full throttle strikes to the head during grappling practice. thats unsafe.

  • so.. is there any head gear when parring in mma?

  • yes but only if you would like it well most lt you choose some make you and some dont have any it depends on where you train

  • good job guys looks like a good 50% session... At my gym we usually like to spar with the gloves to work on face contact and punch landing

  • Gray shirt had more reach than blue shirt. I liked when you were cornered you went for the takedown. both did a great job

  • isnt there another mma in tallaght? one in the college?

    heard there site was down.

not everyone can train 5 days a week like. ha

  • These guys look good. However I'd really love to see some TKD or karate here and there...MMA needs to get back into that first M...and Mix things up...Muay Thai and BBJ are awesome....but. If I saw a hook kick or a side kick to the face ...maybe a knife hand to the neck or some karate style elbows...I'd be really impressed and some what happy.

  • for epic lulz!

  • Nice work guys, it's never easy in this sport is it, he he! =)

A tip to the guy in pink, since you are a bit outreached standing, you could work a bit on MuyThai kick-jabbing... I think it would fit your arsenal.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Guy in blue shirt: Great takedowns, but work on your counter punchin. If your more conformtable wrestling then work on getting into the inside. Everything was clean though and good job.

  • I agree with ghost man killer, your good on your feet but you need to work on your ground work, ive started brazilian ju jitsu and i really enjoy it , helps loads with mma

  • that short guy looks fucking beeefy

  • Nice work lads

  • good work!

    but.... this pink shorts... hehehe

  • how can they train with that fucking mat??

  • Good sparring session only thing is you guys need to learn more submissions. If you have a place that teaches Jiu-Jizu start going there because if you know Jiu-Jitzu you are really going to have fun in MMA

  • lear how to spell it

  • You're not one to talk

  • wow i liked the video and most of the comments were constructive big blue looked slow on the takedowns but he got them so who cares and the lanky white dude was doing work with his hands he was working the head and body and didnt do to bad on the ground considering his partener had more body mass i like it

  • looks like it played in slomo, to be honest

  • Real easy to be an asshole online...

  • I like it ,keep on with the good work

  • actually in a sparring sesson your supposed to tested moves you learn for muscle movement not go full out to hurt your sparring partner DUMBSHITS

  • supposed to train how you fight. Good cardio workout, but nothing Ive ever seen. Get your ass beat in a fight, trainig like that.

  • The shorter dude has an excellent stance. The other guy looks kinda sloppy.Good job though.4 stars.

  • Why is he letting him up? I know it's only sparring but come on, work on getting out of the bottom position that's important too

  • excellent intensity. Perfect for sparring.

  • good stuff

  • That's it the perfect intensity

  • yeah iknow itd probably get super annoying after awhile though

  • the mats shouldnt move like that

  • good job on the take down... i like takedowns, they are fun

  • Sloppy footwork, poor handspeed and have you ever heard of lateral movement!

  • actually no, I haven't heard of lateral movement, what is it? not being sarcastic, just curious. thx

  • dude its just a spar.. ther enot going all out..

  • the guy in grey/blakc, he is swingin his body back and forwards all the time..

Good ribkick at 00.18, that one was clean! :D

  • that is a good pace

  • good spar, just don't let him get up. Train that part of the game also.
