This is absolutely hilarious but its hard to believe that this type of pc propaganda was sold to the canadian public. The election is long over and at least the better of the 3 leaders is in office. I just hope the 3 "sides" can work together for everyones interest.
@ArtByLindaLee Why would you think he is not the best when hudak wanted to get rid of unions? (remember Mike Harris?) I could tell you to "open eyes , listen and watch" but to think about it its just a stupid naming game that really means nothing.
@Danie9989 Who do you think is behind unions ? ok you are really clueless

U people are worried about the debt and your solution is TAX CUTS?!! You seriously want to cut off all this revenue and instead slash education and our already troubled healthcare system?! You know Hudak's gonna have to find the 16 billion from somewhere else than tax revenues right?!
This is a load of what the Latins would call 'bubulum stercus' (BS). McGuinty and Hudak both promise to balance the budget—that is, not to pay off the debt, but to stop spending more than they tax—by 2017-18, which is longer than one term of governance. Honestly, you might as well vote for the NDP. This election, there are no candidates for fiscal conservatives to vote for in Ontario.
@naremconscendit what would that budget be? give tax cuts to big business and hope they trickle down on us? lmao i'm fine with higher taxes in recession so long as it goes to education spending like dropping tuition costs, and investing in infrastructure to make it easier for businesses to expand and get started. demand side economics doesn't work, fiscal conservatism is a fucking lie, and the sooner people understand that, the sooner we can move on from this plutocracy we are creating
I think I agree with you at least a little bit more than you think I do. When you say, "that budget", I assume you mean the Conservatives' budget, which I called "pathetic" because they do not plan to stop spending more than they collect anytime soon. I think Horwath has a good policy on corporate taxes: raise them, but keep them lower than the USA's.
@ecody1 ...But I also think teachers (for instance) have salaries that are fairly high for someone living in the GTA, but absurdly opulent for elsewhere (London, Hamilton, etc.). I think Ontario would be in much better fiscal shape if not all teachers were paid the same amount, but if their salaries were indexed to the average income of their metropolitan area. I also find it unfair that public sector workers had their salaries increase over the course of the recession...
@naremconscendit I appreciate your frustration but your suggestion would worsen the growing income gap that exists in this province by bringing it into discrepancies within existing industries (that would be a pretty new front). I also disagree that these salaries are 'absurdly opulent' even in London. This is a subjective statement but I mean it's not like their all driving a fleet of Bentley's and living in 200 room mini Varsailles. Oil sheiks they are not ;)
@ezzerdamoose Your point about unequal income distribution within the province is a good one. I still maintain my position, but thank you for an intelligent objection to my argument—a rare treasure in a forum such as this.
@ecody1 ...whereas many private sector workers either lost their jobs or had to take huge pay cuts to keep them.
I am no libertarian. I appreciate the benefits of the welfare state, but because I do, I want it to be run in such a way that it will continue to exist by the time I am an old man. Continually spending beyond the government's means does not seem a responsible policy to me.
@ecody1 ...And it is because I find continual deficits irresponsible that I find every party, none of whom (including the Conservatives) seem to want to address the debt seriously, a disappointment.
@ecody1 Well said (even though I think you said it to the wrong guy). What we're seeing is class warfare where the PCs as the political body of a private corporate elite are dividing and conquering underclasses pointing fingers of blame at unions etc. I agree there are problems in the unions but sick days and benefits for garbage men who do their jobs don't piss me off nearly as much as corporate execs in the financial sector dragging the economy to the brink and collecting S100 million bonuses
Per-Capita murderous spirit McGuinty's worst globally. They didn't headline call him "psycho" for nothing. For those with some spirit Anarchy experience. He slept on his back and inverted to be the law channel to make a spirit copy of his victim and stimulate conflict or unnecessary creation to "destroy anything that could be of greater favour to voters". His murderous spirit was never to protect, it was for political position greed. Expose the Spiritual of Tyranny.
5) secretly granting (Regulation 233/10) war measure powers to police during G20 that resulted in the greatest civil liberties breach in Ontario's history.
6) increasing government spending by 77 percent and financing it by raising taxes (e.g. HST).
Dalton and his liberal buddies have a big hunger for money. They made more than a billion dollars vanish with the e-health scam. We still can't find out where that money went. The same kind of thing that the federal liberals were doing to us. If McGuinty gets back in, get ready for another huge ripoff of tax dollars as he pays back all his supporters with phony jobs and useless contracts designed to pay back his helpers. Dalton has allied himself with people who steal the fairness from our life
How exactly will Hudak help us? By cutting services to the poor while helping the rich get richer? Give me a break. I'm not an outraged taxpayer at all - we have great services here in Ontario. We are very lucky to have everything we do, and pay fair taxes for what we get.
@CanadianMade1983 What? You're out of touch, you don't know what you're talking about because you have no idea about the reality, eco tax is shocking, bought an electronic stuff, I was charge for almost $3 dollars, hello! He promised not to increase taxes if he will be elected as premier by signing in a printed paper, when he became premier, he increased taxes.Yeah, you're out of touch, otherwise blinded!!

@naremconscendit I should add, the Conservatives' pathetic balanced budget promise can be found by Googling "Ontario PC budget".

McGuinty has amassed an amazing record of mistakes and failures such as.
1) the on-going billion dollar boon-doggle at eHealth.
2) amassing a record breaking $18.7 billion provincial budget deficit.
3) sanctioning exorbitant 'golden parachute' severance contracts for public service executives.
4) outsourcing the construction contract of Ontario wind turbines to Samsung when it could have been built in Ontario.

5) secretly granting (Regulation 233/10) war measure powers to police during G20 that resulted in the greatest civil liberties breach in Ontario's history.
6) increasing government spending by 77 percent and financing it by raising taxes (e.g. HST).
canadacup 6 months ago
7) trying to clandestinely enact an eco-tax.
8) not checking OLG incompetence and expense account over-runs.
9) granting a 14% salary increase for all Ontario MPP's in the middle of a recession.
10) the day care fiasco … etc.
What was Mr. McGuinty's answer to this? "Well, if the people of Ontario don't like it, they can show it in the next election."
