i found an easier way today. solidus was too hard for me so i starded to run a around aimless and fell down at the edge. he made this 'slashdown' move and when u climb up while he makes this move you cannot get hit. solidus needs to cooldown for a few secnds, so you can attack him and go down and grip the edge again...did this over and over......i killed him in 2 mins or so :D try it it works :D sry for my bad english

Its called Snake Tales mode. its about snake.

you have two ways, if you have Sons Of Liberty version, you can use snake in the boss survival, in the "Special" features in the menu, and you´ll have to face the bosses, either with Raiden or Snake.

If you have metal GEar Solid 2 Substance version, there are extra features, where you can do Snake´s mgs2 story, called Snake Tales, this vid is one of the missions of the feature, you can also have the boss survival in Substance. thats how you do it, hope i can help.

Still, you did not take advantage of the fact that you can hit Solidus four times instead of three before he falls down (Snake has a 3-hit combo, but Raiden has a four-hit combo, which means Solidus can be hit as many times, even by Snake). Still, you are better at this boss than I am. :D

Four or 3 hits combo makes the same damage, snake kick makes double damage than a punch

I know it can be done, but you have to be very quick with the button presses. When I know I don't have a good chance of hitting Solidus, I go for the 3-hit combo, but otherwise it can be done if performed very quickly. :D
