sailor moon made anime characters' color hair popular. and the creator said sailor scouts' color hair was inspired by the 1970-1980s super sentai. lots of anime were inspired by super sentai. if you have never seen any super sentai, check out "Sunao" on my channel (though the video is from the 2000s super sentai).

in the 1960s, color anime weren't common. in the 1970s anime, yellow hair means blonde. other color hair means alien. in the 1980-1990s anime, color hair expresses personality. red is passionate blue is calm yellow is immature pink is innocent for example. in the 2000s anime, color hair means almost nothing.

there are just as many terrible asian cosplayers as white ones. so don't act like just because you're asian it makes the cosplay better: regardless of race, if the face and body type is right the cosplay is right. you are very biased because you chose some of the best asian cosplayers and some of the worst western cosplayers. also, as far as body type goes, manga and anime girls tend to be curvy, whereas most asian girls are thin and flat (not that there's anything wrong with that). ijs.

to be fair, many anime Western characters are drawn the same Asian way, so technically they are not being racist. Plus, many white girls do a great job being cute. If more than 1 culture is willing to share & express their likeness for something, even if its not perfect, does that truely make them racist? ur arguement is errored. not to mention most of those images are stock of payed models. U use modeling against reality and it does not support ur statement. Better tell asians not to cosplay from marvel or DC comics then cause that'll be racist too. obviously the characters are not asian, so it would be an insult for asians to cosplay american comics.

you chose bad pictures to compare the non-asian ones with - I've seen some really good ones! Plus manga/anime characters do not resemble only asian people, if you look, their noses are closer to western noses, just to note one thing.
