This is the performance that made me a rabid Sonny Landreth fan. I had never heard of him, but while travelling in the south I caught this performance on TV and was completely blown away. Within a month I had every recording he's ever made, and see him in person every chance I get. No one else can touch him playing slide, and his songs are fantastic. His music is perfect.

@rabidsonnyfan  Absolutely agree with you. I had never heard of him either until I moved to this area. He is fabulous! And yes, I try to see him live every chance I get as well. Takes my breath away watching him play. I heard World Away for the first time when he played at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette end of last year... pure magic!

I happen to have the fortune of seeing Mr. Landreth 2 times in concert. he is AMAZING!!! Both times i saw him, he did't soudn liek me made a mistakes. He appears to be a prominant fender user but i have seen photos of him using a les paul. he sure wears his guitar high up on his chest.
