  • My great-grandfather also! He gave my mother Mother of pearl opera glasses for the 1938 Paris Billiards Exposition which I believe he won! Thanks to my cousin for passing this on! It's correct that he learned how to play from Willie Hoppe. He lost his arms in a sawmill accident as a child.
