Just thought id throw this out too, Alfa Romeo did compete in Rally - they did quite well, check out the vids on here. They ran both the NA V6 and the turbo 4.

what the hell, I wasn't surprised that a more modern 4x4 car won, but with no more than a car length? That's perfect proof that Alfa actually knows how to make performers, not the japs (although it's probably tuned a lot but still a more awesome car never the less).

this GTV6 is modet. It is 3.2l v6 270HP and has almost 6 sec to 100km/h and weights 1260kg so is only body of old alfa... engine is from something like GTA...

also, note the gear differences, the Alfa is half way through 4th gear at the finish. Compared to the WRX is already in 5th... that WRX looks like a sponsored Rally team car.. so it would be geared for it not drag 1/4 mile, or sum wanker wannabe putting stickers on it maybe. I got an Alfa 90, same motor as this GTV6 factory and it even managed to hold its own against nearly anything on the street. They are transaxle too, 50/50% drive to both backwheels like lsd.

The transaxle doesn't act as an LSD. It is the same as any other diff, the wheel providing the least resistance is driven.

Unless you get a 75 TS, or 3L. In which case they do have a LSD. But it is still only 25%, not 50.

I always thought my 90 Q.O. was 50/50 drive because it feels 100% more like an LSD when i drift it than a plain old 1 wheeler as it spins both, and doesnt just 'lift and spin', you can feel the diff 'driving you sideways' SO - in theory, its more like a Lazy flogged out LSD that needs to have the clutch packs replaced or the whole thing 'reshimmed' .... ?

@beanos351 I'd like to have a 90. I already have a GTV6 and a pair of 164s. I'll probably have to settle for a Milano (75), I don't think we got them here in the States. Way better looking than a 75, and the briefcase in the dash is a neat trick!

The places where the STi wins out over it is in traction and top speed.

This is my car.

A standard GTV6 can do high 15's. The best I've ever read was 15.66 for a stock one.

Mine has a GTA engine under the hood and my personal best is 13.40 and 170 km/h. So it's able to beat standard STis and Evos. This one was a 320 HP tuned version.

But my car also able to keep up with those turbocharged 4WD cars on slicks on the race track as well. Look for my videos to see that

I didn't think a standard GTV6 could do 13s. Yeah no doubt if you transplant the engine with a GTA engine you're going to reach down to those times. But none the less nice car.

We sometimes add STP Octane Booster, and the car seems a bit more performant car
