Long tedious effort! hahah. Well I go to capture film. I make the film then I export the film to the media folder on the PS3. then I get a thumb/flash drive. then I copy the video to the thumb drive. then I put it on my computer. THEN I upload to Youtube.

There is no reason to believe that it will overheat more. It is actually promised to be cooler and more efficient. I can't play PS2 games, neither can the current 80gig. (note the current 80 is not the original 80) I hope this helps you make up your mind.
