I really Wanna Visit this place :) (higurashi fan) << anime
Nice Filming Made me wanna go there even more XD really an interesting place
The thing is i dont know how much it would cost me to go there and come back.. from akihabara or shibuya. Could you tell me how much? and what methode to travel (car/bus/train <<doubt so) and another random question XD how much are taxi in japan ?
@0wnedby1337 It takes about 6hrs one way and costs about 17,000 yen by train. Taxis start at about 700 yen as the basic fare, and go up from there as you move, of course. "One meter" is about 600m I think.
I visited this place in September last year. I fell in love with it. This video was actually quite painful to watch because it makes me want to go there so badly. I don't think it's something that people who haven't been there can fully understand. At least for me, it set the bar so, so high that I'm not sure anywhere else will do, now.
This is aboslutely amazing in heritage, history, everything. It's all very interesting, I can't wait to see your other video's, which I'm on my way to watching now. (:
I hope you enjoy them! There is a lot of silliness in my many videos, but my main goal is to bring entertainment and my life, and a slice of Japan through me to the world. Not for everyone, and things need to be taken with a grain of salt (I am after all Canadian with canadian humour). Thank you for your visit!
I'm not the origonal commenter above, However, I can fill you in. (: Bingo! You're right, it is some anime. I hear it is very popular in Japan right now, and it's gaining popularity here in the US, slowly, but surely. The anime takes place at a village called "Hinamizawa" Which is modeled off of Shirakawa to the very last detail. The anime has brought a lot of tourism to the village now, Which is good for the hotels and what not money wise, But I think some of the locals get irritated with it.):
Well, TheBriiEffect explained it way better than I probably could've, but yeah I would love to visit this place someday. Not just because of the anime but because it's just such a beautiful village.

Pen - My guess is that you could suddenly smell all of the straw again... Am I wrong?

Argh, don't remind me. That and the sound of the cicadas are two things I'll certainly never forget.
Glad to see someone else knows the beauty of that little place.

Thanks for the update, and the mention of complete chance. Funny how sometimes life imitates art!

Yes. And they are very old houses too. Probably very old people if they were still alive. Thank you for visiting.
camswitzer 4 years ago
Yes. Some are 500 years old! The houses. Not the people.
