  • Excited to move here in August!

  • As someone that's lived here for over 30 years, I'll note one of the things that are not mentioned on the video - if you have a lowrider car, watch where you drive. The City is pretty much caught up in an endless war with road repair. You pretty much can't go anywhere without crossing over and near some sort of major road construction, at least between April and October or so. ;)

  • looks like the kind of place i could live in. Shame I have to come from the other sie of the world but if it really has that small city feel to it I better get started looking for work

  • moving here in sept!

  • @kingoffigs Welcome! E-mail us your mailing address and request a Relocation package and we will mail you out a package of information. info (at) tourismreddeer (dot) net =)

  • places like that have a 2 week tourism period in mid july lol

  • @gonnawin9 I believe you. You have to excuse me, but what I said was "small-town feel", not small town. Anyway, you sure have a nice place to call home. I'm sure I'd like to visit there someday!

  • reddeer rocks!!!!!!!

  • The police are really strict here. It's like living in communist Russia.

  • Is this place how they advertise it

  • acutally to be fair i shouldnt critisize too much. great people and lots of green space and just enough things to do without becoming a big city. there are things that have been majorly overlooked however

  • come to red deer!!! our police are super uneducated and dont care if your actually driving safe! they just wanna make MONEY!. come to our downtown area where for some reason were building large above ground parking which will be knocked down in 15 years for an underground parking and a more important building!!! come enjoy our wonderful citizens that all drive gigantic redneck trucks!!!. come be a part of elder abuse, where polititians shut down full/much needed lodges and senior places!

  • @julingy Is it that bad in Red Deer?

  • @lanaowest no no its not

  • @julingy i lve there and no

  • @airhead3333 lol... alright... so ive stated many different things... both positive and negative.... sooo you live here. ... and your saying no to what exactly????

  • You Canadian guys shouldn't be complaining. Red Deer in this video seemed to be great. Wide spaces, nature, small town feel- seemed like you know your neighbor by name! Unlike here in Los Angeles, traffic, smog, sky-high standard of living, and rude people. You don't even know your next door neighbor!

Never been to Canada but sure will visit soon!

  • red deer caters to the hockey kids and the team sports they dont support the biking the boarding or any other minority sport group. and oh yaa you guys love the forest why else would u be developing on it.

  • i have gone everywere in the video =)

  • wait WHAT THERES A WATERPARK IN RED DEER :0 HOW COME I NEVER HEARD OF IT

  • @skyblue2567 the waterpark is 25 minutes west of red deer

  • EDMONTON FTW!

  • Red Deer is a very racist city. If you are White, you are welcome, if you are any thing else, stay away. Is it true that it is the most racist city in Canada?

  • Racist? Lived there forever and I am a true minority, there were only a few families with my cultural background and I rarely was discriminated against. Not like all the other places I lived. People here were pretty accepting of people of colour, maybe it's changed but it's not how I'd describe the place.

  • @BLUDDYknucklez

You're sure about that ? I have spent 2.5 years there and I didn't feel that - I am a white guy , is it probably about that - ?? Now I have to go back there to get the citizenship .

  • @BLUDDYknucklez yea its full of rig pigs that raft down the rivers smoke pot pollute it and bother the golfers

  • @BLUDDYknucklez hey sounds like the reverse version of the high school i went to

  • @needsmetal So were the kids at your high school homophobic? What do you mean the "reverse version"? I'm confused!

  • @BLUDDYknucklez no they were muslum and angry about a paper a stoner wrote. reverse by if your white you loose rights in that school

  • Gawd this just makes us look so backwards. I'm Embarrassed to say I live in R ed Deer now. YeeeeHaaaaaw Y'all come on down to Red Deer for a good ole time . WTF

  • Ahhh.... good times. I was born in Red Deer and I got to say it uses the old fire dept. station from the mid 1900's, as a library and it has a museum that has 4 very old buildings from the very early

    1900's.

  • i live in red deer and i love it!

  • I am a Rotary exchange student in Red Deer and I really love this city. One thing sad about it is that its very small, about 92,000 people. But still, I love Canada.......

  • Please do not swear in your comments. If you do, we have to delete them and block you.

  • sorry pls dont block me i got worked up about my home town THE DEER ROCKS... sure it does.... somewhere for the kids maybe???

  • No worries, unless you swear we don't block you. Every one has a right to an opinion. Have you been out to the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame yet, they have some fun interactive games to play for the kids and they also have a climbing tread wall and a wheel chair race. =) Our Visitor information Centre is in the same building, so you can pick up some info on other things to do at the same time.

  • 20 years ago, it was very nice.

Now It's dirty. Very dirty. Garbage everywhere. Uncut, weed-infested, overgrown green areas. Graffitti. Crack-heads galore. Junky alleyways. Crumbling infrastructure. Frightening downtown core. Liberal mayor. 'Nuff said.

Very sad. Hope it changes someday.

  • i agree for real:)

I came from the other side of this world, and i heard that hotels/resto/bars jobs are now on hiring, but sad to say, i don't have experience with such jobs (i'm from technical field). Can anyone help me find employer who is willing to hire applicant w/o experience with the said job? Thank you :)
