@Amlethusful The two of them present two very different branches of what a horrifying character can be. Jack was a very lively and sick bastard with his Joker, usually in a very good mood whilst he slaughters people with whimsy and nightmare-fuel. Heath's Joker is a bit different in presentation. He's less artistic than Jack in how he'll kill, but he still has sadistic creativity behind him, giving him a lack of the humor Jack possessed, which, by consequence, makes him feel more scary to some.

@tylerabboud That's right. Jack Nicholson's Joker was a more comedy Joker where he acted immature, said silly things before doing a crime, and laughed at things that were not funny. Heath Ledger's Joker was a Joker who acted scary and he would pop out of nowhere to do a crime which was scary.

@Iheartnihon I'm not gonna lie, the 1989 Batman is one of the best Batman movies ever. I just personally think The Dark Knight is an overall better film. The two films are completely different though. The 1989 film is a much more comic book styled movie, vs. The Dark Knight, which is a very dark, serious film. I just prefer the second.
