  • you have the SOUND of Harris! what is your amp/cab and effect?

  • zodiakironfist even though you consider yourself only in the basement that doesnt mean you don't have a kings throne down there. honestly you are one of the most skilled metal bassist i have ever had the pleasure to have witnessed rip dude

  • One word for this: SKILLS

  • Lucky cat !! Enjoyin a great live performance of a great song !!

  • I LOVE playing this song! and love the fills you put into em! r.i.p. brother :( LRRG

  • RIP Zodiakironfist!

  • nice chops!!... just makes me appreciate that Steve Harris doesn't use a pick and that's insane for all the fury that comes out of his songs!.... still really tight playin though!!.. keep playin!!!

  • I watch this video every day. It's so awsome and better (sorry but have to admit) then the studio version!

    More Iron Maiden covers please!

  • pls more iron maiden covers =)

  • Over 30 covers is not enough for you? A little more and he'll have entire discography covered lol

  • @purogol he died

  • I love this.

  • nice rick

  • Rod-zodiak-Harris! would you suggest me the Steve Harris' signature Fender Precision Bass or something else to begin? you rock! never give in! cheers mate

  • I know that this sounds really cliche, but you should go with whatever sounds the best and feels the best to you, no matter what hokey brand that may be.

The only way you can determine this is to hit every music store and try everything. Trust me...you'll be glad you did. Try thin neck, thick neck, different fretboard woods, etc....everyone's fingers are different.

  • KITTY!!!

  • U are an exelent bass player, i like ur videos a lot, but the video quality isn't good...

but anyway congrats you're very good.

  • i love your ability to improvise such great bass fills.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Awsome cover, lol the cat jumps in lol haha

  • Great job on the collaboration video. You fellas have remarkable talent. I hope your future holds great things.

  • HA!!! This is great, and it ws posted on my birthday, Thanks for the Great Birthday Present. Keep Playing!

  • Are you running any effects on your bass or is this what a rick sounds like on it's own?

  • Hey have u ever tried Iron Maiden's Blood Brothers?; it's an awsome song u should try it out !

Great job on this song too!

  • hey man try dr hi beams they have a bright and powerful tone and they will overpower the decay in your pickups for sure

  • What bass strings do you use? And have you ever considered using SH77 Rotosounds?

  • I only use Dean Markley Blue Steel strings, medium-light gauge. Any other strings either do not have the power...or they chew up my frets.

Rotosounds eh? I hear they are fret eaters....is that true? How is the power on them? Because of the age of my Rick, I need a lot of power to counter the decay in the pickup strength.

  • Rotosounds are good to be honest they are all i have ever used , Med gauge roundwound are what i like. they are on my Fender , washburn and Ibanez they have good punch but they are a little hard on the frets. I am a metal head so they do take a beating.I Hope the basic response was helpful. Brian

  • 4:00 haha cats are great

Rob and Harris... my true heroes.

  • How bout a Smooth Criminal cover in memorium for M.J. (A really fun bass line to play!)

  • Great as always Rob , The cover video is one of the best i have seen on here . Keep up the good work. Brian

  • and one other thing, you did a terrific job, i just wish you had more presence in it

  • one of my fav songs by maiden

  • Use your fingers wimp....

Just kidding man. You rocked it. Truly awesome.

    6 stars.

  • Pick sounds as good, it just doesn look as cool

  • do you use a bass dorito pick or a normal guitar pick? what size?

  • Regular guitar pick. Dunlop Tortex 0.88 mm.

  • are the bass dorito picks still being made?

  • where do you get the kickass font types for the names of the intro title thingy...?

  • Go to google, type "Horror fonts" and then you will find them.

  • One of my fav's! 5 stars!!

  • steve harris should meet.....you

  • He wouldn't want to. After all, it's not easy to talk to someone drooling on themselves saying "OMG! You are my FIRST influence!!" over and over.

  • Up The Irons!!! \m/

  • When you record do you use compression or any kind of preamp?

  • I use a Digitech BP80 multieffects processor

  • Me too, ha!

  • Nice, I use the same thing :P and sick cover, woulda liked to see the fingers rock it but sounds good with the pick

  • Really good stuff! :-)

  • Some serious skillz goin on here. Great playing.

  • hahah its funny how you commented on my friends video, (ScampiniStudios09) he was like dude, zodiak commented on my video, i feel so honored, lol. pretty fuckin sweet cover

  • lol... great playing man, love the cat. what pickups do you have in your Rick?

  • They are factory 1974 4001 pickups...the original set. Unfortunately, they are so old I have to do all kinds of strange things to get their full sound.

  • Love your work mate.

  • fucking awesome!!!!!! i wanna learn it now, lol

  • nice cat, when it came in i was oblivious to your playing. i was watching it.........

  • Happens to everyone. My cat is the great spotlight stealer.

  • who is the collaboration with?

  • PDXGuitarfreak, satchbooggy, thedrumchannel, and Scream4Vengeance

  • wow, I actually had dreams that the drumchannel and you collaborated in a song. You two guys are my favorite players in youtube.

You should do some grand funk with him, that would be awesome to see and hear

  • you, great cover though i watched almost all of them

  • perfect! great playing, great song..

    nothing more to say ,)

  • Awesome like always! The part 3:24-3:48 is really intense and my favorite part to play. I really look forward too see you play it with other musicisians :D

  • i love the little lick you do in the very beginning, very inventive.

  • It's my favorite part, too.....in fact, I cannot hear the song WITHOUT that lick in it. I've been playing it that way for many years.

  • Sorry I had to nix the other video. Turns out that I did not release the latest version. I'll repost the collaboration video within the hour. Until then, you can see the collab video at Scream4Vengeance's channel.

  • Man that collaboration was probably the sickest video Ive ever seen. Nice to see what you were doing in that video. That ending was sick!

  • I love how your cat is completely uninterested in you playing. When I'm back home playing guitar, the cats freak the hell out.

  • awesome bass riff that

  • 5th veiw lmao!!

    Sickk cover

  • Wait until you see the REAL video....it'll be visible to you within the hour.
