Wow your neighbour must be loaded to have bearded dragons. They're a bleakin' fortune here! I'd love to have a couple but the set up (tank etc) is just as much as a dragon.
I was kinda hoping these were yours so we could see lots more of them! :)
Hmmm... I thought my reply had come through! I must've done something wrong.
Anyway, I'm in New Zealand and they range from $400 (which is rare and extremely cheap) right up to $2,500 each especially the red dragons.
You also need a license to have them. I just found that out tonight.
Terrariums are expensive brand new. A complete set up for a couple of dragons is about $500 secondhand and that gives you a 1.3mL x 0.5W x 0.5H tank with stones and lights etc.
Pet stores really over price everything and usually there stock is not good at all. Try looking in your area to see if there are any reptile expos coming up. They are a great place to find equipment for bargain prices as well as animals straight from the breeder. They can give you advice and everything. I did that to start off and so far so good.
Hi Soraku. Exc comment and noted too... :) Yep you're right about Pet Stores. I don't think they have animal welfare at heart sometimes or maybe they can't help it. I'll continue to save up and keep my eye out for a reputable breeder. :) Cheers.
Lets get this straight, everybody complaining about these responsible owners feeding their pets instead of starving them to death, are either:
-Under 13
-Squirmy little girls
-Veggies
-Raging homos
-Emos
-Preps
-Retards who say feeding an animal an animal is cruel, when if you go watch the discovery channel once in a while you'll make yourself realize youre a dumbshit.
Maybe they believe keeping omnivore/carnivore pets and domesticating them in the first place is morally wrong? (though I don't agree myself, obviously)

They're very common around here and a usual starter lizard and not expensive at all! Where do you live? That's quite interesting!

lmao@raging homos
I agree BUT in some small cases, it's the way some owners feed live animals to other animals.
Like when you hear people in the background of vids laughing and joking about it. I think that's unnecessary.
I got ratties and I don't like seeing them being fed to ferrets or snakes but I know it happens.
I guess I'm all retard and borderline dumbshit... lol
