  • Pay attention, kids: being queer used to be like this. There was always this dark under-current of self-hate and doubt. All the older fags from the 70's on back hate themselves because it was never okay to be gay. Nowadays it can even be cool. But that lovely self-loathing just seems to stick to you like day-old cooking grease so that no matter how many Ellens and Elton John's and Freddy Mercury's you get to help validate the lifestyle, the scum of hatred still remains.

  • @K80theSHADE It doesn't matter, does it? In 100 years time (if western civilization carries on unscathed) they will look at this and wonder how on earth could society be so cruel. There will probably be a second sexual revolution (maybe in the 2060's? :-) in which people will realize that most of us are bisexual and bierotic. So it's just a question of time... let us live our lives as best we can now and keep in mind that hatred and homophobia is just fear and the gay-straight dicotomy is fake.

  • Don't get me wrong but I only watched this movie because of William Friedkin, because I really admire his work above all.

  • BITB is a cult classic of queer cinema.

  • I LOVE the boys in the band. Amazing play and a fantastic film!
