I was wondering.. can you by foam and other things to make falls in regular hobby stores? And if you can, is it expensive?

I've made some falls myself from different things.. Using cut-up plastic jump ropes instead of rexlace and dreads out of hair from old halloween wigs.. But it actually looks pretty nice xD
